Dang, now I have to go crawl under my truck to check this out.

 

I wonder if this is also true on our MC tires.

 

There was a lot of creative video in that peice to make things look worse than what they really are.

 

Several times they showed a chunk of tread on the side of the road implying that it was from an "old" car tire. the tread that they were showing was from a truck retread which is what most of the tire debris are on the sides of the highways.

Then they showed the cars loosing control with "professional" drivers that knew that the tire was going to blow. You can see that the "pro" drivers turned the wheels hard to the side to make the car spin out and crash.

I have blown tires at freeway speed and well above freeway speed, and while it did soil my shorts I was never in any danger of loosing control.
