Just got off the phone with Hannigan and set the date to trike the RSV! Drop it off Monday March 29th and pick it up April 2nd. We are going to spend the week down there and sightsee for the week. Any members around there? We are also thinking of spending a couple of days in Nashville...

Ya know, Brian, that's the one thing I'm concwrned about, the weather. It's stil fairly early and surprise snowstorms aren't entirely out of the question. We are trailering it down and back. Found a really nice utulity trailer at Tractor Supply that is 5 ft by 9 ft and pretty lightweight seeing as I will be using the Monte Carlo to tow it with...

I dont think the RSV will fit in a 9 ft trailer, but check the length to be sure. Thats why i went with the 12 ft enclosed trailer for my G1, it was going to be too tight a fit to suit me

FYI, The body of the Hannigan is 5 feet wide.

And after the Rake , it will be a tad longer.

might want to reconsider the trailer size.

Actually, it is 4 1/2 ft wide according to the site, and I'm going to weld the front wheel chock to the tongue. I don't really want to go with a heavier trailer as I'm using a passenger car, not a truck to haul it down.

I must have got a wider one then  going to look now on the site.

Mine measures at 60 inches. will re-check agian when I get home today

and get back to you if you want me to.

Yes, please do! 60 inches is a just fit! Also, give me the exact length measurement but I should be good with having the front tire on the tongue. Hey, if it doesn't fit for the return trip, I guess I'll be forced to ride it home...

his is what is posted at the site::

SPECIFICATIONS

Length ................................................................................................112"

Wheelbase ..............................................................................................7"

Width ................................................................................................61.5"

Track width ............................................................................................51"

Rear Tires (Michelin All Season Radial) ........................................15x185/65

I can swear 60 inches is 5 feet ! :scratchchin:...

And your length is a tad over 9 feet.

I just don't want you to bring the wrong size trailer down my friend.

I am very excited for you and show us lots of pictures! :D

Hmmm, you are right, it is 61.5 inches wide. For some reason I thought it was 54 inches wide. Maybe that's the triwing. Not a problem though, I'm buying a utility trailer which does not have very high sides, and I can always widen it at the rear the extra couple of inches. The length is 112 which is under 10 feet...

Ahh, I see you cut and pasted the specs! OK the tracking is 51 inches. Now, what is the ground clearance?? the side rails on the trailer I'm looking at are only about 6 in high or so. Worst case senerio is to put the rear wheels on some 2 x 6 pieces for a little extra height...

Your finder tip will be about 6 to 8 inches off the ground. I will measure

for you when I get home today. and post what I come up with.

The rear fender tips that will be close to the outside dimensions

at the lowest point is 7.5 inches.

The bottom of mufflers are at about 5 inches or so, but there inward so it should not be a problem.

Any other Questions feel free to call or ask away.

Parts that you will be able to sell or give away:

1 - Fender (They use the Original Chrome Tip from Bike. and the tail light and

supply one of each and rebuild the older one. to LED)

2- Saddle bags , You will now have more room then both saddle bags put together plus the top trunk as well.

3 - Rear Tire Complete with drive shaft (they will be using there own D/S)

4 - Both Rear Blinkers

5- Rear Shock

6 - Add there trailer hitch as you will not ever be able to mount an after market one if in the future you decide to want to pull a trailer. I pull a piggy-backer with mine.

7 - they will be more they remove any other add on parts from the rear.

And I am sure there is more to bring home. they will have a pile waiting for you.

I sold most of my extras on this site and eBay to pay for some of the extra's I had wanted on the kit. you will be looking at around 12.5 to 14 K

Make sure you will have enough room in the trunk of your car to bring

all that stuff home. :)

Good Luck and you should not be able to sleep for about a month now :D

Bob I would be a little concerned with the weight which may be shifted forward increasing the tongue weight which the Monti may not like. Guess it depends on where the Center of Gravity of the bike is and compare that to where the trailer axle is.

I assume the weight of the trike kit would move CG to the rear of the bike.
