Bartley Posted October 4, 2007 #1 Posted October 4, 2007 I just took my battery out and for the first time I noticed what appears to be a solid rubber hose, 1/2" in diameter, hook shaped, with a pin hole in the end of it. This is just to the right of the battery (by negative). Anybody know what this is and if it's supposed to be attached to anything? Thanks for any info.
Obber Posted October 4, 2007 #2 Posted October 4, 2007 Sounds like the bleeder tube coming off new style shock that Yamaha is replacing the old one with. Sounds like yours has been replaced.
Bartley Posted October 4, 2007 Author #3 Posted October 4, 2007 Yup, that's exactly what it is according to your pic. I did have my shock replaced about a month ago. Whew....and here I was thinking--how could I have missed seeing this before!?! Thanks so much for your reply!

Obber Posted October 5, 2007 #5 Posted October 5, 2007 Is there a recall on the shock???? Thanks Brent No but a lot have been replaced under warranty if you lucky. Mine went out at about 30,000 miles unfortunately I was pasted the 5 year warranty. Here's a thread you might want read that talks about the shock and the different direction many have taken. http://www.venturerider.org/forum/showthread.php?t=2614&highlight=shock
Smokee Posted October 5, 2007 #6 Posted October 5, 2007 Hey, I've got one of those bent hoses on my '07 RSV...couldn't figure out what in the world it's for. So I guess that's good news...meaning I've got the "new" shock? Smokee
