Black Owl Posted January 30, 2010 Author #4 Posted January 30, 2010 It never ceases to amaze me. Some folks who you would think should know better always seem to fall for these scams.. Unfortunately, try as I might, I just can't feel sorry for them. Guess it really is true that you "Just can't fix stupid".
loehring Posted January 30, 2010 #5 Posted January 30, 2010 I have little sympathy for people like us but the tragedy seems to be the elderly who only use email to talk to their kids and really have no Internet savvy at all. My parent's generation seems to be way more trusting than mine and they fall for this crap. Most of the time these perps are from overseas. (I'm 52 BTW so I'm talking about people in their 70s who have never really come to terms with computers. My Dad did really well and used them a lot but my mom never even learned to turn one on.
phill12 Posted January 30, 2010 #6 Posted January 30, 2010 GOT IT TO! FIX THEM UP GOOD GAVE THEM THE LOCAL FBI OFFICE INFO!

I emailed the provider and they said to not answer any of the emails I was getting. Seems they alreay know all the information about my account. Sure looked legit though. But I do answer the ones that are giving me money, gonna be rich just as soon as they drop that money into my bank accounts. BOO
