Dano Posted January 30, 2010 #28 Posted January 30, 2010 Heck I don't have a MAYTAG! Sorry!!!!:stirthepot: Just charge that one to BommerCPO. LMAO Unfortunately Bubber, your clone takes the same tool to adjust the head bearings as our old MAYTAGS do! Of course, you know that Maytags keep on runnin' without the need for the repairman............ unlike a slower 2nd gen..... and that ones FOR Boomer the CPO!

Actually I found it interesting that the part number for the Steering Head Nut Lock Washer was a 26H prefix, same as the 83 model's. Imagine that, Maytag parts on an RSV. bigbob Posted January 30, 2010 #41 Posted January 30, 2010 Thanks for the quick reply. the # for the 1300 V Star wrench is 90890-014003. Looks the same but must be different size.
dingy Posted January 30, 2010 Author #42 Posted January 30, 2010 Thanks for the quick reply. the # for the 1300 V Star wrench is 90890-014003. Looks the same but must be different size. That is the same part number for the wrench that is listed in RSV manual. Below is a cut from RSV manual. Second wrench shown in manual is to hold bottom nut while you tighten top nut per manual. Or you could use two of mine, or pliers. Gary

KiteSquid Posted January 31, 2010 #48 Posted January 31, 2010 IF the prototype works well for you, Put me down for one.
dingy Posted January 31, 2010 Author #49 Posted January 31, 2010 IF the prototype works well for you, Put me down for one. That's the neat thing about prototypes, If at first you don't succeed, change it and make another one. The neat thing about doing this one for myself instead of some employer is I don't have a salesman yelling at me to ship it anyways. Gary
