I would like 2 of these. It should make holding the lower nut easier while tightening down the upper nut against a "Furber fix" washer. I can then make torque adjustments and truly see what happens to the dreaded steering shake. Let me know on the Paypal. Anytime you are ready.

IF the prototype works well for you, Put me down for one also.

Will they all be in stainless or can we get them in steel? I may want to Nickel plat mine.

yours will be better to use than for me to draw one up in master-cam and cut it out on the water-jet.

All wil be 304 Stainless Steel.

Might be able to powder coat though for an up charge.

I was in contact with my supplier on Wednesday 2/3/10.

They wanted $75.00 to do a 1 piece prototype for me.

This was quite a bit higher than I was expecting.

They agreed to set up to run my order quantity, and allow me to inspect the first piece off of that run at no additional cost

They are going to call me prior to setting up to run and I will go to plant. Its about 25 minutes from here.

If first piece is acceptable I will get order at that time.

If first piece is not acceptable, I will make design modifications and reschedule. I will incur one time piece charge if this happens.

The order acknowledgment says they will run order by 2/12/10

One other slight change is the material was to be mill finish 1/4" stainless steel., They had a piece of brushed 1/4" stainless steel in stock that parts are going to be run on. I am not sure if this is brushed on one side or both.

This will make a nicer looking finished product. It will complicate my cleanup somewhat though.

A laser burner produces a small amount of slag on the downside of sheet being burnt.

I was just going to touch this surface to my stationary belt sander to clean up. May have to come up with plan B

i think plan B should be that you send us the tool and we could clean that edge up, saves you time and labor. just my thoughts, what does everyone think.

I just talked with shop foreman from my supplier. He is going to go ahead and run the sample piece for me tomorrow morning, Friday, 2/5/10. I will not apparently be charged for this one piece sample.

He seemed more willing to work with me than salesman did.

He indicated his laser scheduling is tight right now, so it would be into next week before I get full run.

I will let you know tomorrow about status and some pictures.

I also don't care about the finish. It is is brushed on one side and bright orange on the other I could care less. So long as it works. :)
