Bloodbought1 Posted January 27, 2010 #1 Posted January 27, 2010 There is a black plastic piece on the outside where it tells you to hook a hose. Supposedly this puts the hose up in the bike somewhere so as to pull the air in. Did you all leave this on and hook the hose up? If so, how does it look? Also looks like you would hit this with your foot and knock it off. I have left it off for now.
jlh3rd Posted January 27, 2010 #2 Posted January 27, 2010 i left mine off....i believe it's mainly to help keep water out of the intake.....i don't get caught in rain much ( 'cept for last year's trip).....so i didn't worry about it much
Carbon_One Posted January 27, 2010 #3 Posted January 27, 2010 Don't think anyone uses that attachment or hose. I've run my horn for over 2 years now and it still works fine. Even after getting caught in some serious downpours. I wouldn't worry about it. Larry
Cougar Posted January 27, 2010 #4 Posted January 27, 2010 My hose has been off the whole time as well.
SilvrT Posted January 27, 2010 #5 Posted January 27, 2010 That's an air intake and unless you're blowing the horn a lot during riding in real crappy weather, not likely much of anything is gonna get into the horn innards. IMHO
SilvrT Posted January 27, 2010 #6 Posted January 27, 2010 My hose has been off the whole time as well. dunno if that's something I'd be broadcasting.... :D
Bloodbought1 Posted January 27, 2010 Author #7 Posted January 27, 2010 That's what I figured.....Why I left it off. Just wanted you all's input. Thanks:thumbsup2:
