Godlover Posted January 25, 2010 #1 Posted January 25, 2010 A local has a set of BuB exhaust forsale. Who has them and what do you think of them? I'm seriously thinking about them. He had them on his bike for one season then sold his bike.
eusa1 Posted January 25, 2010 #2 Posted January 25, 2010 love the sound of them, been on the last rsv's of mine. how cheap?? mike
vic venture Posted January 25, 2010 #3 Posted January 25, 2010 Nashbird has a 2006 RSTD with a set. It has a deep rumble at low rpm but when he gets on it, it sounds like a small block chevy. Really cool pipes! I like em:banana:
Godlover Posted January 25, 2010 Author #4 Posted January 25, 2010 The guy wants $300 for passing lights and exhaust - I can't go wrong. I told him I would take them but I'm waiting for him to get back to me.
BradT Posted January 25, 2010 #5 Posted January 25, 2010 I have a pair I bought used, really liked the sound as they have a nice rumble and are not loud. Brad

Red Rider Posted January 26, 2010 #7 Posted January 26, 2010 I love the sound of mine... It really does sound like a V-8...
craigatcsi Posted January 26, 2010 #8 Posted January 26, 2010 I bought them new and put them on my Venture. I really liked them at first, but now I'm not to sure. I always hated my stock exhaust. I used to say that my bike sounded like a 'sewing machine'. With the Bubs, it sounded like it had some balls. After riding with them for a season, I am thinking about going back to my stock exhaust for a more 'civilized' sound. The problem is that my wife LOVES the Bubs, especially when I really get on the throttle. craigr
Godlover Posted January 26, 2010 Author #9 Posted January 26, 2010 I heard back from the guy and he sold them already - it was a good deal and I was just too late. Oh well, I will keep looking!
tazmocycle Posted January 28, 2010 #10 Posted January 28, 2010 if you get the header pipes and mufflers from bubs, you will have a larger set of header pipes. the only thing with them is getting the header pipes on, mine has the welded flanges on them and you have to do some pulling to get the pipes in the ports. another friend got his set and they had a spring washer to hold the flanges on and he was having trouble getting his on. i went over and had to tie the spring washer together with thread to keep them from popping off when putting them on.
