How was everyone's deer season ?

yep, got 1. No pics. It was a spike with 9" tines. Saw alot of small ones and alot of turkey's.

Got one this summer with my car, $5000 damage, too hot to get any meat from the animal.

 

Then about two weeks ago we got one in our back pasture. The deer had tried to jump a fence and failed, gutted itself pretty bad. Was dying but not quick. Our land is within city limits and not being a hunter, I didn't have anything big enough (410 and 22 rifle) to dispatch the animal. Called police, they put a slug in it and put it out of its misery. City workers were delighted to get a fresh kill that wasn't hit by a truck, and said they would drop by some sausage for my son who would like to go deer hunting someday soon.
