Kurt13 Posted January 22, 2010 #1 Posted January 22, 2010 Does anyone know if there's a cable available to hardwire the Garmin Nuvi 765T. Any info would be appreciated.

sarges46 Posted January 22, 2010 #3 Posted January 22, 2010 Not a bad price for Canada. http://www.gpscity.ca/gilsson-18-pin-bare-wire-power-cable.html I received this one and my new Nuvi 755t plus a RAM in about 2 days!! Great service for this firm.
dynodon Posted January 22, 2010 #4 Posted January 22, 2010 I got the cable from GPS City, but it has a pilot light in it, and I wonder how much juice it pulls? I have it hard wired into the battery, and am concerned about it killing the battery if left for long periods. It isn't a problem at home where the bike gets a Battery Tender all the time, but on the road, I wonder. I left my bike off the tender for a couple days and it still started. I know I should wire it to a switched wire, but man, every time I look for a fuse box or similar, I get frustrated. Can't find anything but the battery under the cover!
