E-Fishin-C Posted January 18, 2010 #1 Posted January 18, 2010 It didnt take long for a company to manufacture and Alternative to a Can-Am Spyder What's your opinion on the photos below?
Marcarl Posted January 18, 2010 #2 Posted January 18, 2010 looks good, it'll depend on price to see if it sells though
usnmustang Posted January 18, 2010 #3 Posted January 18, 2010 Looks like a crotch rocket with training wheels. I guess that will work well for those that don't like to lean over.
flb_78 Posted January 18, 2010 #4 Posted January 18, 2010 It's just a kit, not an entire new motorcycle. If it doesn't lean, it's silly to put motorcycle tires all the way around it. I'd be intrigued with Busa based reversed leaning trike though.
aharbi Posted January 18, 2010 #5 Posted January 18, 2010 I dunno, Looks kinda sparse to me. The Can-Am Spyder is made by Bombardier Recreational Products a top notch engineering outfit.
Yammer Dan Posted January 18, 2010 #6 Posted January 18, 2010 Another way to get me Hurt!!!! Hey you old codger!!! Thougt you were froze up there!!!
skydoc_17 Posted January 18, 2010 #7 Posted January 18, 2010 It looks a little smallish but I bet it would be a LOT cheaper than a Can Am. I have attach a few pics of what YAMAHA ought to do to keep up with the Can Am. Now THAT'S a three wheeler! Earl
First_N_Last Posted January 18, 2010 #9 Posted January 18, 2010 It looks like a cool way to get a mud/water stripe up your back...
widowmaker2011 Posted January 18, 2010 #10 Posted January 18, 2010 I actually think that company was lurking and maybe in production at the same time the spyder was. It's a Hyabusa dropped into a custom manufactured front cradle. It lacks VSS ABS of the BRP etc etc but probably goes like a raped ape in a straight line. As for BRP , we have a 2010 Spyder RT in the garage right next to the Venture , and its so far ahead of the original 2008 Spyder you shouldn't even call it 2nd generation. From the electric windshield , electronic throttle , huge storage, seating position , CB and XM radio, to fit and finish it's not even in the same league. I'm certainly not debating 2 vs 3 wheels here , but I will tell you , I wish Yamaha would make one of these. They are pretty darn addictive. In the meantime I will have 2 steeds in the stable , although the Venture grunts at it when I pull in once in a while... http://z.about.com/d/motorcycles/1/0/D/o/-/-/Can-Am_Spyder_RT_S_Black_Profile_w_trailer.jpg http://z.about.com/d/motorcycles/1/0/6/o/-/-/Can-Am_Spyder_RT-S_POV.jpg
