DAKn2 Posted January 4, 2010 #1 Posted January 4, 2010 I posted this on the Watering Hole, but it got lost so quickly I thought it might be more appropriate here. One of my winter projects is to add additional lighting to the back of my new-to-me 97 RSTD. I've read the many threads here on that subject, but was thinking the best method is to spread them out for maximum impact. There are many threads here on how people have added additional running/brake lights to their hard bags, but I was curios if anyone has added additional running/brake lights to the back of their leather bags? I'd be interested in what you used, and of course, pics! Thanks!
Brake Pad Posted January 4, 2010 #2 Posted January 4, 2010 I've seen a rail around leather bags, on a old harley one, he made the rails for the bike, and added lights, looked prity cool
BoomerCPO Posted January 4, 2010 #3 Posted January 4, 2010 A buddy of mine did that mod to his leather bags. While the lights are mounted on the outside he used a strip of aluminum located inside the bags that the mounting bolts for the lights go through and those bolts are capped off by Ny-Loc nuts. Boomer.....just throwing something into the pot here to help ya with the decision-making process.
