Any of you that watched Ride Like Pro, And practised it. Did it really help in the tight riding and getting more used to the weight of the Venture? Was it worth it.:fingers-crossed-emo

Now it did work for me. With that said it also scared the h##l out of me. Ive spent tweny years on a bike with no traing what so ever. Just got on and rode. I took about 3 or 4 months for me to calm back down enough to be comfortable on a bike again.

Mostly learning the correct technichs. But what scared me was the constant overtinking . I was always concerned with where to look ar what to do after seeing the video.

With practice that alll went away and my uturns are now cut in half

Yes it helps. I wish I had a big beater to practice on until I dropped it. At the end they show them riding other bikes than Harley including a Venture but they don't look as comfortable as when they are on the Harleys.

It is worth its weight in gold!!!!!!

It helps you out at low speeds which all the skils are used at full speed too!!!!!

It might save your life!!!!!!!

Got it for Christmas. Have only had the opportunity to watch a short segment of it, but from what I have watched, it definately appears to be worthwhile.

The technique's do work! A lot of practice is necessary tho. And remember this...the Venture has a hydraulic clutch which makes the practice even more important! You will have to "feel" your way into the "friction zone" and only practice makes that happen EVERY TIME.

It took me a little over 2 months to nail down the technique's and I practiced every day BEFORE I took the scoot on the road. Average practice time was 15-20 minutes. Plan accordingly to allow for this. Consider the time spent as time used to "Dial In Your Bike" before actually going on the road. Any nice sized Parking Lot is suitable for doing this even if there are a lot of vehicles parked there.

IMHO this is the BEST thing you can do to help handle your Venture (or any bike for that matter); increase your low speed riding skills; and build your confidence up rather quickly too.

Boomer....who sez ya better wrap your engine guards with garden hose and secured with duct tape....and keep your speeds low when ya first start practicing.

Thanks for all your replies. I had a Honda VTX 1300 before. The venture is enough heavier I am just fighting it in tight spots and in some corner. No issues as far as danger just not as comfortable yet. I will get it and practise faithfully. I am sure it will do it. Thank you all again for backing the disc. Just did not want to throw money away on something that does not work. Boomer not sure what you ment by IMHO.
