N3FOL Posted January 4, 2010 #26 Posted January 4, 2010 I like to get a set of nice LED side markers that are plenty bright...preferably much better that what is available right now for the Venture. Will wait until Custom Dynamics come up with a nice set for our bikes.
emtdouggood Posted January 4, 2010 #27 Posted January 4, 2010 Better flashing blue lights. Got a good one on the truck but plan to be on my bike more this summer. (volunteer firefighter lights)
dingy Posted January 4, 2010 #28 Posted January 4, 2010 The number 1 thing I have seen on this site I would like to have on my bike? Hands down. No question about it. The winner is... Monika http://www.venturerider.org/forum/vbpicgallery.php?do=view&g=1948
eusa1 Posted January 4, 2010 #29 Posted January 4, 2010 Don, could you offer a guesstimate on the cost, if we could put together 50+ takers? thanks, mike i would be a player
Freebird Posted January 4, 2010 #30 Posted January 4, 2010 That was several years ago. I'll try to contact the supplier and get a new price.
Bummer Posted January 4, 2010 #31 Posted January 4, 2010 MonikaMy wife would so NOT understand. I think I should go with that chromed Second Gen VMAX engine. I might actually survive doing that. Or more realistically, a set of those bag hinge insert thingies. (I knew I should have gotten a set the first time 'round.)
CMIKE Posted January 4, 2010 #33 Posted January 4, 2010 Probably a set of Plasma rods on the back from custom dynamics
YYZ Posted January 4, 2010 #34 Posted January 4, 2010 I was thinking a girl for the back would be good too but then I remembered the old "tits or tires giving me trouble" saying so I'll stick with a new mustang seat.
DarkMeister Posted January 4, 2010 #36 Posted January 4, 2010 Thanks, YM! Great thread for getting some ideas, too. I just got into the Venture so the field is wide open. Let's see: - I'll take that Monica, too, I guess, whoever that is, unless her last name is Lewinski. - GPS - Passing lamps! I really think it adds to the overall look. - Headsets - Cassette player! Oh wait. Never mind. Belay that one. - MP3 player or something, for portable tunes. MOST URGENT and important to me: a decent cup holder. I'm addicted to Tim Horton's coffee. All that, and some decent weather...Nirvana. The 3-week riding season here is killing me.
elmicko Posted January 4, 2010 #37 Posted January 4, 2010 Well, the old VR is decked out pretty good. How about a 2nd Gen to sit in the garage beside it?
Chaharly Posted January 4, 2010 #38 Posted January 4, 2010 Does new paint count? I love the color on my first gen, but the guy before had it scraping the ground alot.
Riderduke Posted January 4, 2010 #39 Posted January 4, 2010 Heated gear. I don't have the knowledge to hook something up like this and am considering paying someone to do it for me. Would love to extend my riding in the winter. I'll be happy to help out. You have no idea how many times I have looked at the heated gear on Motorcycle Superstore. They had a package deal top and bottom for $325 back in December. Ben Be careful about how much you try to heat up. These bikes don't like too much heated gear. I have a jacket linner and Glove linners. I shut off the passing lights when I use them. If I have to put the jacket on high then I turn off the carb heaters also.
Venturous Randy Posted January 4, 2010 #40 Posted January 4, 2010 Yep, I know.....a new passenger!!! RandyA
jarrejx Posted January 4, 2010 #41 Posted January 4, 2010 A color matched Bike Buddy trailer for the fishing trips w/ MyPalomino. http://www.bikebuddys.com/
Bummer Posted January 4, 2010 #42 Posted January 4, 2010 A color matched Bike Buddy trailer for the fishing trips w/ MyPalomino. http://www.bikebuddys.com/ On the way out to Ft. Collins in '07 we saw a couple of Wings, one pulling a '57 Chevy, the other had a thirties 'rod. Pretty cool, but a boat? Now that's funny. Almost makes me wish I wanted a trailer.
N3FOL Posted January 4, 2010 #43 Posted January 4, 2010 Yep, I know.....a new passenger!!! RandyA I've been wanting that for the last three years.
jburrell Posted January 4, 2010 #44 Posted January 4, 2010 I had those made but it was pretty much a one time deal unless a LOT of folks are interested again. I think the minimum quantity was something like 50 sets before I could place the order. let me know as I am interested in a set
friesman Posted January 4, 2010 #45 Posted January 4, 2010 I would like one of those fairing bras and luggage liners that Beer30 makes. I dont know if he makes the fairing bra for a G1 but i think it would sure help keep the bugs off the paint. Brian

Monika http://www.venturerider.org/forum/vbpicgallery.php?do=view&g=1948 If my wife caught me with something like that on the rear of my bike you all would be getting a funeral invitation. Mine lol
Zfrebird4 Posted January 5, 2010 #49 Posted January 5, 2010 A life time rider (for the rest of my life) Queen Seat or UP Lady Rider. Second? The electronic deer whistle installed (ca $80 purchased, plus installation) that was recommended on our site several years ago. THIS I want before spring! My first wish, ... would be as immediately as possible! LOL. JackZ AKA LaBachelor
davecb Posted January 5, 2010 #50 Posted January 5, 2010 All I want is for $1,000,000.00 to appear in the trunk overnight. Then my bike will be the way I want it.........
