Guest Ken8143 Posted January 1, 2010 #1 Posted January 1, 2010 How does one insert pictures in the "Insert Thumbnail" section that shows up at the bottom of the posting?
dingy Posted January 1, 2010 #2 Posted January 1, 2010 When you reply to a post, go all the way down to the bottom of the window. You have to Reply to Post, won't work in a PM. There is a button that says Manage Attachments. Click on it Then click on the top button that says Browse Go to where picture is located on your PC and click on it Go down to right side of Browse buttons and there is an Upload button Click it When pic is uploaded a block called Current Attachments will pop up When done go all the way to bottom of window you clicked on Browse in and Click Close This Window You can go to testing forum and try this Picture has to be under about 200K, 600 x 600 size If your still confused I can send you screen shots of each step, need email address to do that. OutlawRider Posted January 2, 2010 #3 Posted January 2, 2010 Thanks dingy, I have been trying to figure this out, too. I'll try again if not I'll be back.
dingy Posted January 2, 2010 #4 Posted January 2, 2010 Click on New Thread or Reply or Quote button and scroll down to bottom to Manage Attachments button Click on It. Window will open with ten browse buttons in it. Click on first Browse button and browse to where image is located on your computer. I did not show a screen shot of the Browse window open. Click on image file. Repeat this up to 10 times in each Browse button. Various sizes for files that can be uploaded are shown farther down in this window. Click on the Upload button. Files will upload to VentureRider web site. This may take some time depending on connection speed. When files are uploaded they will appear on screen. Scroll down to bottom of Manage Attachments window and click on Close This Window. Uploaded files will be listed above Manage Attachments button, Click on Preview Post button to see before posting. Shows attached Thumbnail. Click on Thumbnail in Preview Post window if you want to see image as it will appear. You can then go back down in the window and either edit post or Submit. Gary

Gary OOOOOKay, Glad this came up:cool10: Got this procedure down pat, but how do you get the pictures between the text and not all at the bottom of the post AND how come some pictures posted are a bunch larger than others? Walter
dingy Posted January 29, 2010 #6 Posted January 29, 2010 (edited) First you upload all the pictures you want as detailed in above post. Then, in the window that you are typing your post text into, there is a paperclip icon. This is in the top row, next to the smiley face icon. Click on the icon and it will display a drop down menu showing your attached pictures. Click on the bottom line that reads 'Insert All' It will insert the pictures in the following format. The text '' will appear for each picture with the xxxxx's replaced by a number. You can cut and paste these to rearrange your pictures. Also type in text between the displayed pictures. If you delete the '' string for a given picture, it will revert to the thumbnail display at the bottom of the post. To remove it from there, go back to Manage Attachments menu and clicking on the remove button beside the file name. You can also post more than 10 pictures by filling out the 10 slots in the Manage Attachments menu, uploading these files, then adding more pictures to the now empty browse tabs. Do a preview post before submitting to see if things look the way you want. Picture size display is somewhat dependent on pixel size. Gary Edited January 29, 2010 by dingy
