Let me explain something to everyone, code cut keys are not copies they are original cut keys cut to a half thousandths of the key spec. A key only has to be 3 thousandths off not to work right in the lock. Any copy can be off so bad that you have to jiggle the key to get it to work. Most people who cut key copies have no idea if their key machine is calibrated or not,and or how to do it. I personally don't use my original plastic head yamaha keys, I just use the code cut key I have made instead.Just FYI.....Ken

Ken,

I received the keys for my RSTD and my Suzuki DR200, both cut using their key codes.

They work fine. Paypal sent.

Thanks.

I had to change out my ignition last year so my trunk keys did not match my ignition keys.Your key only has to be cut on one side to work.

I solved that by buying spacer keys online. for $1.85 I bought ILCO-YM63, and took them to the local ACE hardware and they cut the bag keys on one side of the new key and the ignition on th other side. All work great. I now have 1 key that unlocks everyting even though they are not a matched set.

I have 6 blank keys in my tool box if anyone in the Houston area needs a ley.

:255:I had my keys made at a Yamaha dealer for 5 dollars each. If you want the original key with logo 40 bucks.

After reading this thread, I decided to get a couple extra keys made. Took the codes previously listed to a couple hardware stores and a locksmith--no keys. Where are you guys getting your keys made? Maybe I need to have somone send me a couple blanks and have them cut here. Thanks for you replies in advance.

On my uniform I nicked the thread at the top of my shoulder patch and forced a cuff key in there. Always carried a spare...

Almost all of us wear vests. We could do that if not for the same reasons we would have a spare with us.
