Aftermarket Stator.. 83Std

Basically is this a even better version of the upgraded stator or is that all marketing hype and I should get the one from one of the sources listed here?

 

I'm spoiling the bike now that I have a new job. I figure that if I have it apart, I might as well upgrade the stator as I am upgrading the Voltage Reg so I dont have to worry about it on the road this spring and summer...

I don't know. Electrical items and I don't get along but that one is interesting. Probally not far down the road for "Ugly"

YES! The electrosport stator is an upgraded stator. I used to own a 1980 GS850L and those bikes were nearly bulletproof, with exception to their stator & regulator/rectifier. I did my research and found the Electrosport stator and R/R. I never had a problem again!

 

I would highly recommend going with the electrosport stator... the only problem I have with elctrosport is that they don't make a R/R for the VR.

 

 

I noticed you're changing out the r/r along with the stator. Good call! I've found that if one goes bad, you need to change out both.

They are written for the Suzuki GS, but those charging systems are nearly identical to the Yamaha systems.

What was the Regulator we had on here not too long ago?? Dano?? And what were the advantages of it? Ran cooler for one if I remember right.

Be sure and find a cooling kit. It was an up grade Yamaha put on the later Ventures to sling more oil on the stator to keep it from burning. Thers usually one on Ebay.
