adventurer 08 Posted December 29, 2009 #29 Posted December 29, 2009 This year my wife and I are going in the afternoon around 3 or 4 to see if its not as crowed as geting there when it opens. We have alway gone early and dealt with the big crowds. We will be at the venture display so maybe we will see some members there. It's always a good time.

Last few years by 2:00 can't hardly get down the isles to venders and when we leave at 2:00 cars are driving all around waiting for someone to leave so they can park.
BradT Posted December 31, 2009 #32 Posted December 31, 2009 Not Sure yet, but it is a Maybe for us. Brad
straycatt Posted December 31, 2009 #33 Posted December 31, 2009 I didn't buy my tickets online with the discount code that Progressive sent to me because I wasn't sure of how many tickets to buy. The wicked witch of Genesee (my wife) still doesn't know if she wants to go or not. So I was a little bummed that I'd have to pay full price to get in, maybe x 2. Fast forward to today. I'm off work for the holiday. I had some errands to run on the East side of town, and I've got the radio on the local classic rock station that I usually listen to, 103.9 The Fox. I'm only about half paying attention to the radio when it finally dawns on me that the DJ is talking about the tickets to the Novi bike show that they're giving away in 5 minutes......at a Tim Horton's on the south west end that's at least fifteen minutes from where I'm at. I pull a U'y and hit the gas. I got the last 4 tickets that he had. It's a good day.
Carbon_One Posted January 1, 2010 #36 Posted January 1, 2010 Joyce picked up some extra discounted coupons for $3 off regular admission price. We have 4 available to anyone who didn't buy tickets in advance. We'll be going in the morning but not sure what time. Anyhow if someone wants any of these let me know and we'll figure out a way to get them to you. Larry
99silver Posted January 2, 2010 #37 Posted January 2, 2010 Karl (icb23) called in sick this morning so I have an extra ticket as well, but I will just get rid of it at the door, someone will take the discount. See you there and Karl get well my friend. Gary
Al Bates Posted January 3, 2010 Author #38 Posted January 3, 2010 Just got back from the International Motorcycle Show (MI) had a good time, it was good seeing friends again. Brad-T and Rhonda how did you two escaped from the pic's?
straycatt Posted January 3, 2010 #39 Posted January 3, 2010 Sorry I missed you all. I had the grandson with me and he was done around noon. I almost had to drag him away from the Full Throttle Saloon girls. Then the wife almost had to drag us both away. Grandson even picked out his new bike.
Squidley Posted January 3, 2010 #40 Posted January 3, 2010 We tried.... But just got too late a start from Illinois and couldn't get there early enough to catch you folks We did manage to catch up with Brad and Rhonda Tuckett and chatted for about an hour or so at my Dads house in Roseville. Sorry we missed you all and hopefully we'll be able to catch up with some of you before we head back down to some HEAT!
BradT Posted January 3, 2010 #41 Posted January 3, 2010 Brad-T and Rhonda how did you two escaped from the pic's? Just quicker than You Al. :rotf:Or Lucky I guess. We did manage to catch up with Brad and Rhonda Tuckett Yes it was nice to catch up with you guys. Glad you caught us in the car on the way home. Brad
gunkylump Posted January 3, 2010 #42 Posted January 3, 2010 Just got back from the International Motorcycle Show (MI) had a good time, it was good seeing friends again. Brad-T and Rhonda how did you two escaped from the pic's? Beth and I made it to the show with a couple of our neighbours across the street....pricey getting in, $15 with out a discount. Not near as large a show as it used to be....heck, when it was in Cobo, it took up two floors....I was just a wee bit disappointed overall. The jury is still out on the "flaming" Venture....might take some time to adjust. We did see Larry and Joyce, and Brad and Rhonda, I guess we missed out on some others looking at the posts. Cold as a mother-in-laws kiss walking in from the parking lot, but a pretty good day just the same. It was good to get out!! gunky:shock3:
