FROG MAN Posted December 19, 2009 Share #1 Posted December 19, 2009 I got about 3 hours seat time today. Had to plow twice once in the morning and again this after noon. We have about 12 inches now and still snowing. First priority was to plow the dog a potty patch. His muffler drags at 4 inches.

Riderduke Posted December 20, 2009 Share #15 Posted December 20, 2009 Well I'm like skid I rode a shovel yesterday. Most of the day. 350ft driveway shoveled twice. did have courtney help for about 3hrs. But a 16yo girl isn't moving much snow. I'm thinking I'm still too far north. Yammer Dan Posted December 20, 2009 Share #16 Posted December 20, 2009 Ain't going out there!! Got about a foot of that stuff. Don't have to be anywhere, not babysitting any convicts!!! Think I'll take a nap and watch some football... Power been off all around me. Mine blinked a few times but stayed with us. Went to store and stocked up on everything before it got here.:snow2:
SLOW HAND Posted December 20, 2009 Share #17 Posted December 20, 2009 I rode home from work before the plows ,only a few cars in the ditches. I have a 9yr old son who has two weeks off from school so I couldn't begrudge him . I have to cage it home at 2am without cold weather gear I'm not riding now anyway. I hope to have the ground white for Christmas even if it takes a second coat. It's been a long time coming. Did ya notice I didn't have to use the S word out of respect for the year round riders? Freebird Posted December 20, 2009 Share #18 Posted December 20, 2009 We've been lucky so far. Only a slight dusting at this time. My snow removal equipment is an old John Deere with a blower. It is a '71 model with a 10 HP Kohler engine but it does a great job. This is from last year.
Yammer Dan Posted December 20, 2009 Share #19 Posted December 20, 2009 Somone was pounding on my door at 5:30 this morning. My oldest son. He has been up almost 40 hrs. He is the Crew Chief of construction at our local phone company. Phone service is going strong. I had his job in the early 70's. Biggest mistake I ever made was leaving it. These guys really go thru a rough time with storms like this just to keep us going. He had no power at his house so he stopped in for a shower and we fixed him breakfast, dried clothes and he was back at it again. Trees really made a mess around here. Dave77459 Posted December 20, 2009 Share #21 Posted December 20, 2009 I'm down here raking leaves and complaining... guess I should just be quiet... Yeah, I had to put in the contacts yesterday so I could wear the sunglasses while riding. Christmas shopping on the motorcycle felt wrong, but I got used to it soon enough.
