rumboogy Posted December 19, 2009 #1 Posted December 19, 2009 What are some of the LITTLE things you have added to your bike that most people might not have thought of...either ornamental or practical? For example, I have the License plate grifter plate: http://www.bikesax.com/Merchant2/merchant.mvc?Screen=PROD&Product_Code=ACCGRIFT01&Category_Code=ACC-ESS This little gem locks and can keep your paper work...extra keys, a small flash light, fuses...and best of all, it locks. It is not really stealth...but you do need to know what you are looking for. Anyone else? Wally
Hummingbird Posted December 19, 2009 #2 Posted December 19, 2009 I added some LED's to mine - 15 function and remote
rumboogy Posted December 19, 2009 Author #3 Posted December 19, 2009 Cool...Christmas colors too. Very nice. Wally

SilvrT Posted December 19, 2009 #6 Posted December 19, 2009 SilvrT...I like the battery cover changes you made...and REALLY like the rocker switch panels...what do the switches go to? The lights on the front...
OutlawRider Posted December 19, 2009 #7 Posted December 19, 2009 Thanks rumboogy, I like the the sucurity box so I just ordered one.
rumboogy Posted December 19, 2009 Author #8 Posted December 19, 2009 The plastic ones work very well. They do have a rubber gasket around the edge, so they are waterproof (and I can vouch that they DO work..don't ask me how). They are WAAAAAY overrpriced on the chrome plated and brushed aluminum ones...but the plastic one works VERY well. Velcro inside this thing is a wonderful thing...see below.
LilBeaver Posted December 19, 2009 #9 Posted December 19, 2009 15" LED light bar on the back, mounted between the helmet locks. ~20 bucks or so, and about 5 minutes to install increased rear visibility enormously! Also: Stebel air horn + wiring, ~40-50 bucks
BOO Posted December 19, 2009 #10 Posted December 19, 2009 Here's my contribution(s) ... I really like number 5 picture, I've been thinking about something like that but your's looks great. Nice job. BOO
SilvrT Posted December 19, 2009 #11 Posted December 19, 2009 I really like number 5 picture, I've been thinking about something like that but your's looks great. Nice job. BOO Thanks! ... I've since changed them because installation of the bar risers didn't allow for the "full width" plate so I have one on each side now...

6pak Posted December 20, 2009 #13 Posted December 20, 2009 Ok, I checked out the Grifter license plate storage, and I gotta ask, do ohio and wisconsin have different size tags than the rest of the world?
rumboogy Posted December 20, 2009 Author #14 Posted December 20, 2009 Good question...I just figured that all motorcycle plates were the same size since motorcycles usually have the bracket about the same size on all models...although I did notice the Venture had an "adjustable" plate holder.

KeithR Posted December 20, 2009 #17 Posted December 20, 2009 (edited) I wasn't real fond of the billet pieces that go behind the passenger floorboard so I added a star concho on each side. They take the bare look off those plastic pcs. Keith Edited December 20, 2009 by KeithR
