We started out rarely locking our helmets, then my husband laughed at me one day about locking up the $39 Sirus radio but not locking up over $700 worth of helmets and headsets. After that I always lock the helmets. I never thought about the investment we have in them.

We can go to Kimberly's Pub and watch the bikers go nuts when their Harleys get stolen. Can't believe they park them out front and leave the ignition unlocked.

On occasion I spend time at Kimberly's with some of my ABATE friends. Now I may be about half crazy, but I'm not crazy enough to mess with those guys.

Some of them boys are un-hinged.

I try to hang out at the taverns with bike parking right by the front door.......The Men's Club, Teasers, etc. :innocent-emoticon:

Usually I turn up my left highway peg and sit the helmet on that. That keeps the helmet low and generally out of sight. If it is raining, I put the helmet on the seat to keep the seat a bit dry.

On my RSTD, you have to use a cable to reach the lock behind the seat. PITA.

Never have locked mine and probably never will. I always figure if someone takes it they need it more than I do and I also believe what goes around comes around and he/she will get theirs in the end.
