rumboogy Posted December 18, 2009 #1 Posted December 18, 2009 I apologize for so many questions. I am not a dummy...but I sure feel and am acting like one. I haven't got my new plates yet...so I look back there where they had the temp plate, take it off and this is what I see. I think something is missing...surely they don't sell the venture without a cover for these exposed wires.
RoadKill Posted December 18, 2009 #2 Posted December 18, 2009 Nope that's it. Most are that way at least the RSTD was too.
FreezyRider Posted December 18, 2009 #3 Posted December 18, 2009 Believe it or not, that is the way it is. The license plate covers the mess of wires. I guess they had to cut expense in that area so they could afford to put a cassette player in it!
rumboogy Posted December 18, 2009 Author #4 Posted December 18, 2009 That JUST BLOWS ME AWAY!!! OK...so do most of you just leave it that way? Wally
Owen Posted December 18, 2009 #6 Posted December 18, 2009 Wait! Wait! Yours doesn't have the 24k gold V4 cover on there? I would go talk to the dealer about that!!

Skid Posted December 18, 2009 #8 Posted December 18, 2009 That JUST BLOWS ME AWAY!!! OK...so do most of you just leave it that way? Wally I'd cover it up with a license plate.......... and RIDE!

Dave77459 Posted December 18, 2009 #10 Posted December 18, 2009 I added LED running lights, and that pyramid is even more stuffed. Dave
V7Goose Posted December 18, 2009 #11 Posted December 18, 2009 IT seems just fine to me. Since I always have a license plate on the bike, what else is needed? Goose
rumboogy Posted December 18, 2009 Author #12 Posted December 18, 2009 I guess I was not expecting to see exposed wires...and a license plate over it doesn't really "seal" it up...if everyone says its no big deal then I won't worry about it. Wally
wes0778 Posted December 18, 2009 #13 Posted December 18, 2009 I apologize for so many questions. I am not a dummy...but I sure feel and am acting like one. I haven't got my new plates yet...so I look back there where they had the temp plate, take it off and this is what I see. I think something is missing...surely they don't sell the venture without a cover for these exposed wires. You could cover it up with a large chrome license plate cover... And I love showing the tag to Hardley Riders!!!
aharbi Posted December 18, 2009 #14 Posted December 18, 2009 I'd cover it up with a license plate.......... and RIDE! +1 you beat me to it. Nope, I cover it with my license plate. Actually I covered it with the Harley Davidson License Plate Rail and Light Kit Part # HD-68280-97 http://i278.photobucket.com/albums/kk100/aharbi/HarleyLite.jpg

MidlifeVenture Posted December 18, 2009 #16 Posted December 18, 2009 It costs about an extra $10,000 to get a bike that covers that
wes0778 Posted December 18, 2009 #17 Posted December 18, 2009 Did it take that Big a$$ Hammer to install it???? Nah, The hammer was for the nails to hold the saddlebags on...
