It gives the the URL, I copy it and place in the my signature and upload and I get "invalid URL".... what could I be doing wrong! Edited December 14, 2009 by Freebird

You need the ENTIRE code from the weather website and then you have to hit SAVE TWO TIMES when you paste it into your signature. Wally
Wanderer Posted December 13, 2009 #5 Posted December 13, 2009 And if I remember, when I did it, it took about a day for it to show up.
starkruzen Posted December 13, 2009 Author #6 Posted December 13, 2009 Thanks guys, however when I go to save it tells me, "URL Invalid?
LilBeaver Posted December 13, 2009 #7 Posted December 13, 2009 So there is likely an extra character somewhere, or whatever. Go ahead and paste the URL that you are trying to use in a post, uncheck the box at the bottom of the post page that says "automatically parse links in text" so we can see what the actual code is that you are trying to use. Then we can help troubleshoot the code to get you going.
LilBeaver Posted December 13, 2009 #8 Posted December 13, 2009 http://weathersticker.wunderground.com/weathersticker/gizmotimetempbig/language/www/US/FL/West_Palm_Beach.gif Give this a try
starkruzen Posted December 13, 2009 Author #9 Posted December 13, 2009 Thanks beav, but I copy that and paste in my signature right? Do I put it behind the HTTP;www. or to I remove the preset prefix? I tried both ways and it still didn't work
LilBeaver Posted December 13, 2009 #10 Posted December 13, 2009 I am pretty sure all you should need to do is paste that whole string in, as written... but Give me a few minutes to mess with it and confirm (unless someone else jumps in first)...
starkruzen Posted December 13, 2009 Author #11 Posted December 13, 2009 Thanks, I would really appreciate it!
LilBeaver Posted December 13, 2009 #12 Posted December 13, 2009 Okay, I have confirmed. Just paste ALL of the following in the signature box: http://weathersticker.wunderground.com/weathersticker/gizmotimetempbig/language/www/US/FL/West_Palm_Beach.gif That ought to do it (it worked for me anyways).

starkruzen Posted December 13, 2009 Author #16 Posted December 13, 2009 See in my last post, this is what happen when I did what you said. This is frustrating
starkruzen Posted December 13, 2009 Author #17 Posted December 13, 2009 Well as you can see that didn't work. But thanks anyway
rumboogy Posted December 13, 2009 #18 Posted December 13, 2009 No, you do not need the http or the www.
LilBeaver Posted December 13, 2009 #19 Posted December 13, 2009 It works fine for me. It appears that you are not pasting all of the text that I put there for you. You need to include the
Skid Posted December 13, 2009 #20 Posted December 13, 2009 Well as you can see that didn't work. But thanks anyway Click on the second link and another page will come up showing the weather. Right click on the weather bar and paste it into your signature.... or click on this link below. http://weathersticker.wunderground.com/weathersticker/gizmotimetempbig/language/www/US/FL/West_Palm_Beach.gif
LilBeaver Posted December 13, 2009 #21 Posted December 13, 2009 The following image is a screenshot of what worked for me, getting the weather deal in the signature. Note that ALL of the text that I present here: http://weathersticker.wunderground.com/weathersticker/gizmotimetempbig/language/www/US/FL/West_Palm_Beach.gif Is included in the 'edit signature box' only. not anywhere else. Clicking that, then save will get it to work. I am sorry that you are having so much trouble with this. Alternatively you can do as Skid has suggested. That works fine as well.
