Zfrebird4 Posted December 10, 2009 Posted December 10, 2009 I found this site today on a light external vest that runs on rechargable AA's. It has a life for the lighting strips of 25,000 hours; don't know the price or what I am supposed to do with it after the 25,000 hours of riding, ... which will take only a year or two! LOL. Enjoy reading, and let me know what you think. IT IS NOT ESTETICLLY desirable, but riding in Denver or any other large city, ... it might save a life. DEER will not give a damn. Need that electric deer whistle that makes them mate while I ride buy! LOL. Jack Tharp Ft. Collins, Co AkA, ... JackZ

painterman67 Posted December 10, 2009 Posted December 10, 2009 it says at the bottom its $59.99 for the vest and you can order bateries and extra power pack for a little more. David
awsmsrv Posted December 10, 2009 Posted December 10, 2009 My wife & I have these & sometimes wear them when walking the dogs at night. They're great.
a1bummer Posted December 10, 2009 Posted December 10, 2009 They look like a great idea. Now if only they could make one that shuts down cell phones too:Cool_cool36:.
jburrell Posted December 10, 2009 Posted December 10, 2009 I wish they sold the strips so that they could be added to the bike's trunk my coat or wherever I feel I need the protection. How about one is yellow for side lights.
KiteSquid Posted December 11, 2009 Posted December 11, 2009 They look like a great idea. Now if only they could make one that shuts down cell phones too:Cool_cool36:. I don't know how well they work, but they are probably illegal to operate in the US without a FCC license.... but you can search the internet for that type of product....
a1bummer Posted December 11, 2009 Posted December 11, 2009 (edited) Seeing as how it's now illegal to drive and talk on a cell phone here in WI. I wonder just how illegal it would be to use a gadget like that on the roads? But ya, I'm sure they're illegal anyway. But just out of curiosity, I'll have to check those out now that you mention it. Now that I think a bit more about it, what would be the point? If I was to jam all the cell phones then the people might be paying even less attention to others around them when they're trying to redial and trying to figure out why they just lost signal. But then one of them would still come in handy in the movie theaters and during dinner time. Edited December 11, 2009 by a1bummer
