Freebird Posted December 8, 2009 #2 Posted December 8, 2009 WOW...looks like a lot of fun but I'm WAY too old to try that.
Yammer Dan Posted December 8, 2009 #3 Posted December 8, 2009 WOW...looks like a lot of fun but I'm WAY too old to try that. I'm with Don on that one but a few years ago.... There are some roads around here I could tell you I've tried with a skateboard that I look at now and think I must have been Nuts!!
Squidley Posted December 8, 2009 #4 Posted December 8, 2009 How many times do you think speed racer crashed and burned before he got that good? Definitely not for us old farts, but it sure looked like it would be exillerating
Lone Eagle Posted December 8, 2009 #5 Posted December 8, 2009 a) that looked like fun; b) looks like a cool road to ride a motorcycle on; c) seemed to me like he almost took out the first motorcycle coming up the opposite way; d) wonder what others were thinking when they saw that coming at them - or passing them - that would have spooked the heck out of me; and e) I'm with Squid - wonder how many times that person has crashed trying that. Cool video, though.
phill12 Posted December 8, 2009 #6 Posted December 8, 2009 I loved it, but this guy must have loss screw!!! Phill
barend Posted December 8, 2009 #7 Posted December 8, 2009 Saw one similar but seems like it originated (?) in Japan. Cool video though.
aharbi Posted December 8, 2009 #8 Posted December 8, 2009 ...wonder what others were thinking when they saw that coming at them - or passing them - that would have spooked the heck out of me... My exact thoughts when I saw it. However, riding the Alps and specifically the Dolomite mountains are on my bucket list. We have friends that live in Milan and have invited us many times to stay with them. I just have to talk my wife into flying across "the pond."
barend Posted December 8, 2009 #9 Posted December 8, 2009 My exact thoughts when I saw it. However, riding the Alps and specifically the Dolomite mountains are on my bucket list. We have friends that live in Milan and have invited us many times to stay with them. I just have to talk my wife into flying across "the pond." Lemme explain ... buy some tickets for a cruise!! Sail accross, she'll think is sooo romantic, then after you get there spring the bike part and fly back :hihi:
Bubber Posted December 8, 2009 #10 Posted December 8, 2009 I honestly can't think of a dumber stunt that I have seen. I was just waiting for a car to come at him and roll over him. Who in there right mind thinks of this stuff. Oh Honey! Oh I thinks I'll make up this suit with wheels all over it and find the most dangerous road in the mountains to go down and see if I survive? Oh ya maybe I should have brakes on it..............NAAAAAAAWWWWWWWW. LMFAO Does this mean I am officially older than dirt? I am going to go lay down by my bowl now!
SilvrT Posted December 8, 2009 #11 Posted December 8, 2009 I think that would be a cool thing to do but I wouldn't want to do it on some of the mountain roads around here.... too much road patching, bumps, potholes, and snakes.
Jrichard Posted December 9, 2009 #12 Posted December 9, 2009 Enjoy, http://www.gamaniak.com/embed.swf?file=http://media.gamaniak.com/vid/descente-cote-buggy-rollin.mp4&image=http://www.gamaniak.com/pics/3625.jpg&showdigits=true&controlbar=over&link=http://www.gamaniak.com/video-3625-descente-cote-buggyrollin.html&displayc Boo, :thumbsup2::cool10::usa: THAT was Ta-Tas!!
Squeeze Posted December 21, 2009 #13 Posted December 21, 2009 Here's a Vid from a Buddy of mine on the same Mountain Road ... [ame=http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=mxfLfbWLgqg&feature=player_embedded]YouTube- VMAX VMX17 2009 Swiss Grimsel Pass[/ame]
Kirby Posted December 22, 2009 #14 Posted December 22, 2009 You know, I thought I'd like to have one of those new Vmaxes. But if they all sound like that, nope. That thing sounds like it's dragging a #3 washtub with 6 or eight bricks in it!!
Squeeze Posted December 22, 2009 #15 Posted December 22, 2009 I can assure you, the Sound on the Video is not what you hear on this Bike. I don't know where he had the Mic placed, but mine has a singing Sound coming from the upper Valve Train at lower RpM and it really screams at mid and high Rev, which he never approached in the Vid. You should also keep in Mind, we have pretty restricting Noise Laws over here. You'll hear that next Year, because US EPA Rules from 2010 on are nearly a blue Print from european Regulations.
Bummer Posted December 22, 2009 #16 Posted December 22, 2009 Thanks for the video Squeeze. I needed that.
Yammer Dan Posted December 22, 2009 #17 Posted December 22, 2009 Nice little Sunday afternoon drive!! My Jardines would sound sweet....
Squeeze Posted December 22, 2009 #18 Posted December 22, 2009 Nice little Sunday afternoon drive!! My Jardines would sound sweet.... Yes Dan, except that Scene at 6:07 where he almost highsided the Bike while going out of the tight left Hander. That's just the Torque the Motor provides....
BOO Posted December 28, 2009 Author #19 Posted December 28, 2009 Here's a Vid from a Buddy of mine on the same Mountain Road ... Scary movie.... It always seems to be less scary for me to just ride but then again maybe I'm not traveling as fast as they are. Got to love that V4, great sounding engine. Beautiful views. BOO
Squeeze Posted December 28, 2009 #20 Posted December 28, 2009 Here's another Vid with a real Sound Note [ame=http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=OblwUXIVpL0]YouTube- 2009 VMax GoPro Hero HD First Ride[/ame]
