Im not looking to start a flaming war or anything. This is just being posted as a precaution. I went to the Venturers website to check on a tech link before and was immediately hit with a Trojan virus. Now I know that the site has been the victim of several malicious virus attacks in recent months and I was hoping the issue was resolved. It obviously is not the case. My McAfee system caught it and contained it immediately. Again, its just a warning to be careful.......

Heck, I never click on that site anyway.. I find all I need is right here on this site.

Good friends, good rides, good food and several listed Dairy Queens........:thumbsup2:.

This has been an issue for months now. not sure why they

do not so anything about it yet :confused24:, they even have offered

4 free months , I can barley log in from work , but at home

it is a no go. seems that they would have fixed this by now though.

I enjoy the folks on both these sites!

oh well.

Talk about timing.. Ummm anyways I just received this a while ago..

Jeff,

My apologizes for taking so long to reply.

We should be on new software very soon. I was told by IX that it should have happened by COB Friday but that didn't happen. I am anticipating Monday or Tuesday. When that happens, a notification email will be sent out to the entire membership.

Thanks for hanging in there with us.

I guess my post over there on Venturers ruffled some feathers, I didnt intend to hurt anyones feelings, but heck ive been getting virus warnings over there for months! I like the forum and there are a lot of great people over there, but the bugs and virus warnings are just more hassle and worry than I feel i want to deal with.

I do feel sorry for their people working on the issues, and I do know that they work hard and i appreciate the work they do.

I know we have quite a large number of members that go into both forums so, If I hurt anyones feelings in this forum or there, I apologize.

Brian, I posted the same type of thing about a month ago.

I would not worry about it. this all should be fixed soon

I am hoping. maybe that is what it takes, but there

has been more then ONE Ruffle going on !:D

Don't tell anyone but I do like the format of this site

much better and it is my home. the other site has a lot

of great members and good info as well!

But this will always be my home! :)

Pretty big problem .. but getting close with the host on getting it resolved. The interim fixes worked for a while, but whomever is messing with the site manages to get the bugs back in after a few days.

Don't worry about ruffling feathers..most of the people have had their tail feathers singed before :)

You're all right! Good people here, there, and on Delphi!

I enjoyed spending time on the other site, too, and it was the first Venture site I ever visited. The folks on there were super and really helped me with my first Venture. Now that I use only my work laptop I cannot use the site. I have wound up with Trojan Downloaders twice and our techs have forbidden me from going there since we have been forced to clean this up. I let my membership expire there because I just could not go to the site... I have never experienced any problems here thankfully! Thank you Don for taking care of us.
