royalstarjac Posted November 30, 2009 #1 Posted November 30, 2009 I've replaced the 07 RSV I wrecked a month ago. ABS was a must this time around since wrecking in the rain which meant another RSV was out of the question. Maybe in the future Yammie will finally update the Venture and I will be back on one but for now this bike will have to do. It's a 2006. I do still have my '97 RSTC so I'm not completely out of Royal Stars. Here is a pic I stole from the previous owner.-Jack http://i19.photobucket.com/albums/b152/bigjack1/wing/wing.jpg
RandyR Posted November 30, 2009 #2 Posted November 30, 2009 looking forward to seeing your new wing at one of the M&E's...
Yammer Dan Posted November 30, 2009 #5 Posted November 30, 2009 THAT DOES IT!! We Will not tolerate this stuff. Gotta get it around so we can see it!! Looks good hope it serves you well.
Silver Bullet Posted November 30, 2009 #6 Posted November 30, 2009 nice ride-- hope only the best for you....man that thing will run!!!
RoadKill Posted December 1, 2009 #7 Posted December 1, 2009 Very Nice. I still think we need a Goldwing sub-board here since there are seems to be a growing number of us. Oh like the color of yours too!
waterbug Posted December 1, 2009 #8 Posted December 1, 2009 Nice looking bike!! I have been thinking about trading mine in for a wing since they have all the cool stuff and power!! Let us know how much diffrent this bike is to the venture and pros and cons. Ride safe and have fun:thumbsup:
DragonRider Posted December 1, 2009 #9 Posted December 1, 2009 Very nice bike, but you just wont look natural on it...........I have always liked the GW, but they have way too much plastic on them, now give me a Valk with the interstate package on it and I would be very happy with that, same engine, but it looks like a motorcycle............ http://i.ebayimg.com/23/%21BfIm7I%21%21mk%7E$%28KGrHqEH-EEErfLL62%29OBL%21FW614s%21%7E%7E_12.JPGPlease wait
royalstarjac Posted December 1, 2009 Author #10 Posted December 1, 2009 Nice looking bike!! I have been thinking about trading mine in for a wing since they have all the cool stuff and power!! Let us know how much diffrent this bike is to the venture and pros and cons. Ride safe and have fun:thumbsup: I took it for a short ride Sunday so this is a short term report. Pros: ABS, Navigation, Airbag, Heated seats and grips, lots of lights, power to spare, unreal torque, great handling. The seating position was ok for me. If you look closely at the pic you will see the bike already has the rider floorboards, heel and toe shifter and highway pegs. Instant throttle response. The bike is so quiet and smooth it almost feels like an electric motor. This could be a con for some folks since you don't get a lot of internal combustion feedback. I still have my 97 RSTC with the 4x4 Jardine Rumblers for when I want to bop around and make some noise. Cons: Haven't found any yet but if I find any in the long term, I'll let yall know.

My buddy who has a GW used to ride a Valkerye years ago. Thought he might like to go back to one was itchin for another bike. Test rode one and came back and said to me "what was I thinking I could never go back after owning a GW1800."

atlm Posted December 3, 2009 #16 Posted December 3, 2009 Nice bike, Jack. I love the color. I'm looking forward to riding with you at another M&E. With the way your new bike handles, you'll have to keep an eye out to make sure the rest of us haven't disappeared behind you!
