RSTD Exaust tips- 2006

Hi all ... I just brought a 2006 RSTD new from the dealer and I pick it up this week. My question is... does it come new with the adjustable exhaust tips or is it extra? The bike did not have them on but most pics i see online have them. thanks in advance

They are supposed to come with the bike, but not all dealers put them on. One dealer I know about puts them in a saddle bag.

 

On my 2008 they were on the bike.

When you say adjustable, do you mean the exhaust tips that you can point down or out?

I believe my 2005 RSTD came with them.

I put some on my stock RSV mufflers. Had to drill and tap the mounting holes...... Piece of cake. The Tour Deluxe mufflers are already drilled and tapped to accept the end caps.

Yes the angle cut ones that can ba turned in different directions. It adds a nice look and I've seen them in the pics online and was not sure if they came with the bike.

They come standard on the RSTD but not on the RSV. I like them. I bought a complete set of mufflers from a RSTD complete with the tips a few years ago off Ebay. The RSV mufflers are the same except they are not drilled and tapped for the tips. Several people have bought just the tips though and drilled and tapped their stock RSV mufflers. The set in our classifieds are a great price if he still has them.

Bottom line. They should come with the new RSTD you are buying.
