I have lowered the front forks 7/8 inch. Now when I put the fork tree on there is a 7/8 gap from the top of the fork and tree top ? Have I done something wrong or do I just tightened the upper fork bolts and not be able to put air the front shocks ?

I have tried to read all the post about front lowering and have not seen this problem ...could someone please put a photo of the tree after it was lowered....thank you everybody.

When I lowered the front end on my bike, I also installed risers to move the bars back for a more comfortable ride. Installing the risers also gives you the room you need if you want to add air to the front.

The fork tubes should be 7/8 of an inch above the fork tree. You raise the forks and that will lower the bike. Turn the tubes so the air valve will be to the outside before you tighten the fork bolts.
