Bubber Posted November 24, 2009 #1 Posted November 24, 2009 Well I was looking in the [ame=http://www.venturerider.org/forum/showthread.php?t=15244]Royal Star Venture Parts list (started 09/28-07)[/ame] for a set of donated reflectors. I need a set of right and left rear vertical reflectors that go on the stock saddle bag guard. I took them off when I installed the horizontal saddle bag guards. Them traded them away for a part. Well I saw them install on the horizontal guards I was wishing that I had kept them. Anybody out there have a set they would part with? Give me a shout via PM or right on this posting. Thanks Much Steve aka Bubber
Pecker Posted November 25, 2009 #2 Posted November 25, 2009 Bubber, I have a pair in the top of my tool box you are welcome to have. Took them off for the same reason, then ended up taking the bars off altogether. Send me your address and they will be on the way Friday. Dave

TDbiker Posted November 30, 2009 #4 Posted November 30, 2009 On this topic, I also would like to re-install the rear reflectors horizonally on the saddle bag guards, but the guards are somewhat smaller in diameter than the vertical guards. How do you compensate for that? Thanks in advance.
Bubber Posted December 1, 2009 Author #5 Posted December 1, 2009 I haven't tried these yet but my plans are: 1) build up two bands of black electrical tape on the smaller diameter horizontal guards where the end of the reflector would be and attach the reflector over the tape. 2) I have some flat flexible foam that I was going to put in both halve of the reflectors an screw the reflectors together compressing the foam and binding them on the chrome rail. Both require a little trial and error. Anybody else do this and what worked for you? I have seen it. Actually I think I saw it on scooterbob's bike at the M&E in St.Cloud Mn. Well scooterbob does yours have side reflectors on the horizontal guards for you saddle bags? Bubber
Carbon_One Posted December 1, 2009 #6 Posted December 1, 2009 When I had te reflectors on the bag guards I used heater hose cut just short enough to fit inside the reflector housing. I can't remember what size I used but know it was either 5/8 or 3/4" in diameter. Just measure the rails to get the proper sise is all you need to do. Larry
midnite Posted December 1, 2009 #7 Posted December 1, 2009 Pictures we want pictures when you get them mounted.
Bubber Posted December 2, 2009 Author #8 Posted December 2, 2009 Pictures we want pictures when you get them mounted. Well here are the pictures for installing the reflector that was on the vertical guard prior to install the the saddle bag guards. The horizontal guard is 3/4" and the vertical guard is 1" diameter. I used a length of 3/4" heater hose to fill in the gap over the tube and the reflector. Slit the tube from one end to the other and place that slit to the back of the reflector. Cut the heater hose a little shorter than the reflector and if the threads in the hose show use a black magic marker to darken them black. 1) Bare saddle bag guard 2) 3/4" rubber heater hose over the bare rail 3) Reflector attached to top rail of saddle bag guard Thanks much Bubber
