Im concerned now... My antennas are what I'm assuming backwards. The am/fm whip is on the left and the cb whip is on the right. Should I just switch the whips from side to side or actually trace the coax back to see where they go? And if i trace them back will it be obvious which is the cb connector and which is the am/fm connector? Was really starting to wonder when every picture I see had them opposite from what I have on my bike. Previous owner must not have noticed or gave a damn, probably why I got the bike so cheap :)

It's difficult to reply to your post because I have no idea what year model your bike is. If it is a '99 or later, you SHOULD care because if they CB antenna is mounted to the side that goes to the AM/FM and vice versa, you may find that it will or already has damaged the CB. On the '99 and later models, every bike I have ever seen (and that is a LOT of them) the CB antenna should be on the left side. If you look at the cable coming out of the mount on the left side of the bike, you will be able to follow it into the black box under the tour pack. The CB is inside that black box. If your regular AM/FM antenna is on that side instead of the CB antenna, you are risking destroying a very expensive CB. Now if you simply don't care, then so be it. It's your bike and your money. If you DO decide that you care though, it's a simply matter of screwing the masts off an swapping places with them. Takes about 5 minutes.

I got some time tomorrow so i will look into this. The only reason its concerning me is i never made contact with my CB yet and AM/FM isnt the best reception wise. I have been using the AUX input more because of this. Who knows, we will see tomorrow. Thanks

Just to update my antennas were on the wrong mounts. Switched the whips and no it looks like every other Venture out there :)

Havent noticed any difference in the am/fm or cb receive but if it will keep me from toasting the finals in the cb when transmitting I'm happier for it.
