Hummingbird Posted November 15, 2009 #1 Posted November 15, 2009 After installing the passing lamps on my Venture I decided I wanted some led's as well. I found some really neat ones from Joe Florida. http://ledaccentlights.net/store/index.php?main_page=index&cPath=36 They might be slightly more pricey than some but it seems the quality and the lifetime warranty made up my mind. Also, I got almost immediate answers to my questions thru emails. I don't know how to do a utube video so I'll just post a few pics of the basic 3 colors. The leds are remote controlled from up to 150' and have 15 different functions like strobe, multi color flash etc. some of which are probably TOTALLY illegal while running down the road.
Brake Pad Posted November 15, 2009 #2 Posted November 15, 2009 In the State of Florida, never run the Blue lights, while on the road. Cops have a hard time with it, and you will too.
CMIKE Posted November 15, 2009 #4 Posted November 15, 2009 Cool looking lights..I like them. I have been thinking of installing some that Custom Dynamics sells. A while back a buddy of mine was rolling through Baton Rouge LA just before dark one day. A state trooper zoomed in on us and pulled us to the side of the road. We both pulled over cause I did not know what we were doing wrong or which one he was after. He was running Blue LED lights on his crotch rocket. He got a ticket. I really do not what all was said...I was just gald I was not the one he was focusing on. He did not seem to be concerned wtih the flash patterns just the color blue. He said nothing about my strobe tail light (REd) that strobes 3 times when you press the brake. So be careful if you are in this area...not sure how others area will respond to the blue color. They still look really cool.
Hummingbird Posted November 15, 2009 Author #5 Posted November 15, 2009 Yeah - I know the blue lights are a no-no while running down the road but the solid red and green won't have any problem. The neat thing is that there are 15 different functions and color combinations - they're not all illegal. I did have a state highway patrolman watch me whizz by the other night but I think he was too interested in speeders. At the time I had the lights in flash mode with all the colors cycling.
lonestarmedic Posted November 15, 2009 #6 Posted November 15, 2009 Good guy to deal with. Has high quality and great service. JB
Guest Bountyhound Posted November 15, 2009 #7 Posted November 15, 2009 I have some LED lights on my venture also. Had to strip my blue lights. Two highway patrol came in restaurant and busted me. I checked the law and switched to green. Each state however is different.
