CB - Can't Transmit

CB antenna broke off some time ago (2003 RSV)

 

Took bike to CB shop yesterday - new firestick antennas (4') - radio and CB side

 

They hooked up SW meter -- getting very little out put -- it will key up -- but not enough to transmit -- shop said radio probably bad -- broke antenna may have had something to do with it

 

Any ideas? -- need all new radio unit?

i would take off the trunk and open up the BLACK BOX and check the male-female coax cable connecton first. i found mine had come loose.
