Chaharly Posted November 14, 2009 Share #1 Posted November 14, 2009 So, just curious, how many miles have you guys put on this year? I got my 85 Venture in April, turned 16 may 7th, and put on more than 6,200 miles this summer. So how many have you put on your venture?
midnightventure Posted November 14, 2009 Share #2 Posted November 14, 2009 I put about 10000 miles on it every year but it isn't my only bike.

RandyR Posted November 14, 2009 Share #4 Posted November 14, 2009 I bought my Tour Deluxe on April 3rd and have 9175 miles on it now. There are several riders on this forum that log 30,000 miles a year I think.

RossKean Posted November 14, 2009 Share #7 Posted November 14, 2009 Just over 20,000 miles this year. Not too bad for someone who isn't retired and living in the cooler climate of Eastern Canada. I ride from early April until the snow and salt are on the roads in the fall - mid to late November. This time of year, rides are shorter but I hope to manage another 1000 miles or so before I put it to bed for the winter. Tomorrow is looking pretty good. I managed a trip down to New Hampshire last weekend - fantastic late season riding. Ross

BOO Posted November 14, 2009 Share #13 Posted November 14, 2009 I was just whining to some of my buddies the other day that I was not putting very many miles on the RSV.....6,600 this past season. I'm usually in the 10 to 12,000 area. Maybe I need to go back to work, I seem to put many more miles when I was working..........NOT.. Heck I've been on trips longer than the miles I put on this last season. One thing though, my son has a 5 year old bike with less than 3,000 total miles on it. Most of that was riding with me. Like we say here in Chicago about our sport teams.......Maybe next year..... BOO

Ndiaz Posted November 14, 2009 Share #15 Posted November 14, 2009 Not quite 40 years riding motorcycles, a total of roughly 500,000 miles altogether, (on 11 different motorcycles), doing the math... About 12,500 miles per year, a modest amount. Nick Diaz Middletown, MD

friesman Posted November 14, 2009 Share #24 Posted November 14, 2009 Haha cool, and if you notice, we have the same bike, colour and all! Ya have a good bike then. I am thinking that most 85 G1's were Glorious Maxie Brown with the Marshall gold accent. There are quite a few of us around who ride the brown 85's, Some are PB&J , Gigawhiskey, and Yammer Dan. Mine is mostly maxie Brown as I didnt like the accent on the bags so i had that removed when the bags were repainted last winter. Welcome to the group!!! If you ever need a part or advice ask here, we may be able to help out! Us prairie guys gotta stick together! Brian
