irydasteelhorse Posted November 14, 2009 #1 Posted November 14, 2009 ...but what exactly does the "boost sensor" do on a G1? "boost" brings to mind turbo systems.............
Blue Giant Posted November 14, 2009 #2 Posted November 14, 2009 It is used to measure engine vacuum and advance the ignition timing electronically (no moving parts) like the old centrifugal advance units.

bongobobny Posted November 14, 2009 #7 Posted November 14, 2009 It is used to measure engine vacuum and advance the ignition timing electronically (no moving parts) like the old centrifugal advance units. Or in other words senses when your ignition needs a "boost"

Dano Posted November 14, 2009 #9 Posted November 14, 2009 So they aren't working out too well?? Mine must not be working either, but of course I've never been passed by a 2nd gen........
Rocket Posted November 14, 2009 #10 Posted November 14, 2009 So they aren't working out too well?? Nope, they fall under the same heading as, the other Scams out there, not worth anything............. But they must have it $$$$ (just in case it might work), in an effort to just barely, keep up to the 1st gens............
