Given the colors available, it does not appear that you could use that on the front of your bike; however, the red version mounted on the rear and tied into the brake light might be real sweet...

Haha - could you imagine a bunch of these mounted between the helmet locks under the trunk in place of the 15" solid bar many of us have there.

 

Actually... Thinking about it, it probably wouldn't be all that difficult to fabricate something to install a few of these back there... hmmmm

I have been running strobes in my headlight for about 13 years. I actually drilled holes in the reflector and they plug thru. There was a time you could get these at Auto Zone or Advance Auto for around $15 a set. They come with a frequency adjustment, which I have set to blink fairly slow. If you have them blinking fast or multiple flashes at a time, you will definately draw police attention. You look too much like an emergency vehicle.

As far as red strobes, I did get pulled over by a Tennesse State Trooper because it was red and I had it mounted inside my brake light lens, activated by the brake switch. It was about 1am while waiting for a light to change. He did not write me a ticket, but he warned me other LEO's might. When I showed him my head light strobes, he just went hummm, but did not tell me to turn them off.

This past summer I got pulled over by a city cop because of the strobe in the headlight, but he also told me they were not legal and he knew because he rode a sportbike.

I have put over 100,000 miles on my bike with strobes and run them day and night. The one thing I have noticed, especially at night is the left lane bandits seem to move over quicker if I am behind them.

I personally am not a big fan of the occillatting headlight as I think it scares some people and they may do rash things to get out of the way. And, you can not use them at night. I would love to have federal laws passed to allow strobes in motorcycles, but it would have to specify frequency and brightness.
