starkruzen Posted November 13, 2009 #1 Posted November 13, 2009 I seen some pics on this site with bikes that had "what looked to be" highway pegs mounted on the floor boards. I would like to get some highway pegs for mine but I'm verticle challanges with a 30" inseam. Any advise would be helpful. Thanks Mark

Freebird Posted November 13, 2009 #3 Posted November 13, 2009 Many of us here use the KuryAkyn pegs. They have an arm that can be rotated for different lengths. Here are a couple of options. Most of us use this method. http://www.venturerider.org/forum/showthread.php?t=39650&highlight=Kuryakyn Here is one that was recently posted that mounts a bit differently. http://www.venturerider.org/forum/showthread.php?t=41498&highlight=Kuryakyn
YYZ Posted November 13, 2009 #4 Posted November 13, 2009 Here is my 2 cents for what it's worth. I tried some that clamped to the floor boards but because of the heel shifter my foot was almost trapped in. I did'nt feel safe at all. I'll look for some that clamp to the engine guard in the spring.
birin Posted November 13, 2009 #5 Posted November 13, 2009 How about this? http://www.classiccruiser.com/product.asp?item=706920
ManWithAVision Posted November 16, 2009 #7 Posted November 16, 2009 I have the Kuryakyn pegs that mount on the crash bar and they work great, but I had to drill and tap them and the bar and install a stainless steel bolt. It just wasn't possible to get them tight enough to stop them from twisting on the bar if I applied too much foot pressure. This fix solved the problem and now I spend a lot more time with my feet up on the pegs than I do with them on the floorboards.
Wanderer Posted November 16, 2009 #8 Posted November 16, 2009 Here's the new eBay @ 109.00 that's the bomb.
Wanderer Posted November 16, 2009 #9 Posted November 16, 2009 How about this? http://www.classiccruiser.com/product.asp?item=706920 Have you used them? This is kinda what I been lookin' for.
Art708 Posted November 16, 2009 #10 Posted November 16, 2009 I am using Star Pegs on mine. They work just fine and are very inexpensive.
birin Posted November 16, 2009 #11 Posted November 16, 2009 Have you used them? This is kinda what I been lookin' for. I have not used these - but with my short legs I feel these would wok best for me. When I simply place my boot heel in different positions on the existing floor boards _ i feel it is more comfortable than the engine guard peg I have attached another option as well http://www.cruisercustomizing.com/detail.cfm?model_ID=0&Category_ID=6&manufacturer_ID=6&product_ID=7600
tim44 Posted November 16, 2009 #12 Posted November 16, 2009 I got these from jc whitney for $45 I'm thinking. They bolt to the crash bar nicely. http://i254.photobucket.com/albums/hh105/deeleppek/Image005.jpg http://i254.photobucket.com/albums/hh105/deeleppek/Image006.jpg
