RandyR Posted November 11, 2009 #1 Posted November 11, 2009 (edited) I wanted give a plug for Rider's Hill in Dahlonega. I pulled my rear wheel this morning and took it to the tire shop there and they mounted and balanced the Avon Venom I took them for $25. They also have a large selection of tires in stock, at least 400 or more and I'll try to buy my front Avon from them when I need it in another 2,000 miles or so. They have a snack bar in the motorcycle dealership there, nice tables with a big screen TV, dipped premium icecream available as well as a variety of sandwiches. Here's the nice part. I ordered a chili dog and coke while I was waiting for my tire to be mounted (took 15 minutes). The lady at the counter asked me if I was a military vet, to which I replied yes. She said lunch is on us today, no charge..... For those not familiar with this shop, it sells new Aprilia and MotoGuzzis, and has a large consignment area with a variety of makes of bikes. http://ridershill.com/ Edited November 11, 2009 by RandyR
eagleeye Posted November 11, 2009 #2 Posted November 11, 2009 Hey Randy, I thought that you were putting that BF Goodrich on. Steve
RandyR Posted November 11, 2009 Author #3 Posted November 11, 2009 Hey Randy, I thought that you were putting that BF Goodrich on. Steve I haven't received it yet, and have to have a new tire on before the ride to Savannah this weekend. I'd already bought the Avon 2 months ago when my OEM Bridgestone started to get thin. So, I'll try the BFG next, with the number of miles I'm getting in, it will be next year some time.
tazmocycle Posted November 12, 2009 #4 Posted November 12, 2009 i stopped by there while i was at the tail of the dragon this year. they also rent bike too. the tire store wasn't open then, guy said it would be a month or so. it a nice place being that close to the area that has a lot of riding going on. should do a good bussiness, they were pretty busy the day i was there.
