Wow! We had a beautiful day and a wonderful ride today here in East Tennessee! We left Knoxville up in the morning and rode down to Tellico then across the Cherohala Skyway to NC. Most of the leaves are gone but there are still some pretty colorful scenes, and plenty of sunshine and 70 degree weather. Left Robbinsville NC and rode the Dragon back to Tennessee and then back home. Just a wonderful day to ride!:clap2:

We saw a black cherry RSV while on the Dragon. Anyone here?

Also, we saw a new Vmax. Awesome! Our two riding buddies, both motorcycle officers with exceptional skill sets got to see the bike take off from a dead stop as it was spinning the tire, working up a little sideways, then hooked up and was off like a shot. They were both extremely impressed with the performance and the sound of the bike.

Just another great day that I am thankful for the opportunity to ride...

My wife wanted me to take her up to the Dragon yesterday but she didn't mention it till about 2 o'clock and it's a 2hr ride up there. I wasn't really in the mood to ride home in the dark on mt roads.

Maybe we can meet up there sometime.:smile5:

Sounds good! Keep us in mind. If we plan another ride over there we'll reach out to you beforehand...

We rode up to Cumberland Gap TN on Saturday and ate at Webb's Country Kitchen. It was a good ride and great food, too. The only problem is that a H-D riding with us developed a gas leak at the "pressure regulator" below the tank and was dripping fuel onto the motor. That took over three hours to remedy enough to go further. We had planned to go throught the tunnel into Middlesboro KY and up to the Pinnacle Overlook but had to get the H-D back home for more repairs. But, all in all, a great meal and great ride Saturday, too!

You may have seen Murph from northern Alabama on the Dragon. We ran into he and his wife on the top of the Great Smokey Mountain National Forest pulloff (near Clingman's Dome) yesterday. Great folks. You just never know who you're going to run into when you are out and about with your RSV!

We had a fantastic weekend also, going up to 411/321 to Pigeon Forge Saturday and then back down to Atlanta via the Forest, with stops in Franklin NC, Hiawassee, Helen and Dawsonville. Probably the last mountain ride until the Spring. It was glorious!

Oh man you tug at my heartstrings. I grew up in and west of Knoxville and I miss that area a lot.

We were on the dragon on friday afternoon. Had a great weekend, saw two bears, lot of riding and the weather was great! Was glad to meet Bobby G and his wife while out riding on sunday, they are super nice folks and we look forward to riding with them someday. I found a new favorite road on saturday afternoon, if you go north out of Gatlinburg on 321 about 15 miles out of town it dead ends into hwy32, turn right and in about two miles you will be in some twisties that will make you laugh at the dragon! It is about twelve miles of really intense riding. The only problem I saw was that in a few places there were leaves over part of the road, not a whole lot but enough to make you tighten up. Only met one car on the whole ride, the road is very smooth and a lot of fun.
