Zfrebird4 Posted November 7, 2009 #1 Posted November 7, 2009 I am 70, and dislexia makes me a happy 07! I have two artificial knees, and I feel YOUNGER on my 86VR (thanks Squidley and Lonna) .... than at any other time. Have we done a survey? I did read the VR 1st Gen post of the 16 year old riding a VR. Great. So, ... fill me in while I roam Colorado some more! Jack Tharp Fort Collins, CO

1 Canuck Posted November 7, 2009 #6 Posted November 7, 2009 I'm not worried about my age...pushing 52. I just remind the wife about me growing older, "the older the fiddle the sweeter the tune"!
OutlawRider Posted November 7, 2009 #7 Posted November 7, 2009 My wife tells me I am like one of our boys and will never grow up.My toys just cost more, but I am 55.

bongobobny Posted November 7, 2009 #11 Posted November 7, 2009 Well, in this household one of us is 62 and the other 67 and I ain't saying which is which...
SilvrT Posted November 7, 2009 #12 Posted November 7, 2009 As a construction worker, and doing it for better then 20 years, I fell like I have a body of a 60 year old, which feels like S*** all the time, but my real age is 47 hey... TheKid Posted November 7, 2009 #13 Posted November 7, 2009 Ok so I will make everyone feel old no matter how old you are. I am turning 27 next week and have owned my 2nd gen midnight 'Old No 7' Jack Daniels for almost 3 threes years come may. I love my bike every time I throw my leg over the saddle. Everyone Ride Safe and enjoy the freedom and wind in your hair (if y'all have it still, LOL )
bikenut Posted November 7, 2009 #14 Posted November 7, 2009 I am 57 and getting younger every day LOL Have a great safe day everyone Bikenut:grandpa: Notice the glasses
Greener Posted November 7, 2009 #15 Posted November 7, 2009 I'm 58, husband, father (1), grandfather (soon 2), and I love my '08 Venture "S". It is 46 F. in Hamilton right now so I'm off for a ride. Later,
chabicheka Posted November 7, 2009 #16 Posted November 7, 2009 This 40 year body has been around since 1944....so i guess that makes it 65 years old. just love riding bikes and i feel i will be at it for another 5 years for sure ( god willing, of course)
dynodon Posted November 7, 2009 #17 Posted November 7, 2009 Early 60's, and two new hips, my '86 VR does take the years off, and keeps me ahead of my friends with Gen II's and the other Harley style bikes! heck I go ride with the BMW folks and keep up with them, just grindin' my forward pegs down to nothing though.
DragonRider Posted November 7, 2009 #18 Posted November 7, 2009 60 yrs young here, and nothing except original parts on this body, feel more like 36 than 60, of course there are the few aches and pains that remind me at times that I am not as young as I used to be, been married for 35 years, 2 great kids with families of their own and have 3 great looking grandsons................of course riding a 26 year old bike helps me feel younger too..........no 2nd gen here...............
steve crossley Posted November 7, 2009 #19 Posted November 7, 2009 57 going 58 and is that an 2ed gen in my rear view mirrors ? i could slow down to look but .......naww heck with that!!
hayes Posted November 7, 2009 #20 Posted November 7, 2009 I'll turn 54 in December and have a twenty year old daughter in Flagler University. Luckily she comes home every weekend or I go to St. Augustine to see her. Her growing up is killing me. To the twenty seven year old with the Venture. I had two Goldwings and a Venture starting at the age of 23 so I don't think that it is odd at all that you ride a touring bike. Dennis
BuddyRich Posted November 7, 2009 #21 Posted November 7, 2009 I don't know.. :confused24:Can't keep up with all the minor details. Too busy staying ahead of the 2nd Gens!! You just forgot again,,,,,,, must be that old age thing:rotf:
GuthDaddy17 Posted November 7, 2009 #22 Posted November 7, 2009 I am 25 when I'm riding, when I'm not riding I'm my actual age of 49...
Kregerdoodle Posted November 7, 2009 #23 Posted November 7, 2009 48 here..... but besides all the achs and pains, I feel alot younger......
Kirby Posted November 7, 2009 #24 Posted November 7, 2009 I'm 55 and still alive. It's kinda like George Strate's song "Troubador".., "I still feel 25, most of the time". I still have my Vmax for all those that think that their 1st gen is so bad.:rotf::rotf::rotf:
pakidaho Posted November 7, 2009 #25 Posted November 7, 2009 58 and 39 respectively. The great thing about crs is every thing becomes new again and each day is an adventure. Are these my new shoes? When did we get these curtains? Good thing she is a bit younger as she is able to remind me where to find my tooth brush.
