For anyone is the Houston area that's looking for 44K, check with other A-Line auto parts stores. It had been mentioned before that the A-Line store in Waller carried it, so I searched online and found an A-Line store in Humble. Called them and YES they stock it. I bought their last can today, but the guy says they try to keep it in stock and it sells pretty good, considering the price.

OK. I'll bite. What is 44K?

It's a fuel treatment that has been discussed here on the forum. Kind of a Seafoam on steroids! $20 for an 11oz can. I hope it's as good as everyone says. Now that I finally have my carbs cleaned out, I want to keep them that way.

BTW, to those that have used it before, I'm thinking only half a can to a full tank should be plenty, right? I'm thinking I'll run one tank through, then change the oil due to all the gunk that should break loose. I'll save the other half of the can and use it again in a couple months. Reasonable?

Gun boat uses it so you might want to send him a PM about how much to use....

Hey Kbay,

The only bad part about finding it here in Humble is I didn't get to ride out to Waller and meet you! I went with my plan of half a can and then put about 35 miles on it. Just got back. No noticeable difference yet, but then I am running on just cleaned (the old fashioned way) carbs.

Yamaman..I bet you will be amazed with this stuff. Usually see the best results after you put it in and ride awhile then let her sit over night..The next day you will forget about it but IMMEDIATELY think something is wrong as smooth as it is and general feel of engine. Ive used it awhile but always reluctant on recommending anything in a can. My Mom has a dually dodge diesel and I went to San Angelo Yesterday and it was smoking black smoke so I bought a can of BG 244 (Diesel Version of 44K) and after 24o miles let her sit over night and this AM we went to Hico Texas....NO MORE SMOKE AT ALL, engine smooth as silk...She is totally shocked..Dodge place wanted $375.00 to do an Injector service...The BG 244 was $45.00 for a quart ( Diesel Formula) Well worth it!

If you just cleaned your carbs (I assume 'the old fashioned way' implies that you took them apart and cleaned them out that way) then what are you expecting to get out of running this stuff (other than having perpetually clean carbs - which is certainly a good thing)?

- Just a curious mind wanting to know...

BTW Gunboat and I were taking care of some business a few days ago and went to a NAPA auto parts store on Louetta I believe it was and they also carry the 44K in stock.

yep it was on loutta, and they also carry the bg injuctor cleaner ( $11.00) made by bg to use to maintain your fuel systen after using the 44k. also i found out i get a discount at the napa corprate owned stores as i'am a contintal airline employee. (not all napa auto parts stores are corprate owned.) now have a new source for the 44k. but i still like the ride out to waller.

yamaman the first time i used 44k, i was over at tom's in blanco. tom told me about it and we went by his local auto parts store. the parts guy told me thay had some but not to be shocked at the price. that first can i pored the whole 11 0z can in the tank of the rsv. man was i impressed. about 6 to 12 months later i used another 11 oz can. i now use 1 oz per 1 gallon of fuel. i had been a fathful user of seafoam & b-12 carb cleaner up till this time. i feel the 44k is well worth the money i spend on it twice year now. reguards
