Just wondering what your experience is with the Progressive Suspension Air Fork Balance Kit.

1) How long have you had them?

2) Have you had any trouble with them leaking?

3) Would you buy them again?

4) If you are not using this kit how do you manage to balance your front fork air pressure or do you leave it at “0”?

I use a progressive Air Pump with a Zero loss chuck with air around 4psi.

Have had mine for a year. Fisrt set leaked when I installed. Was factory defect. Called Tech support and they sent me a new set right away. New set works perfect. Holds same air pressure for over 2 months and then just barely drops. I am very satisfied and would definetly buy them again. Keeps same pressure in both forks and is easy to install.

1) How long have you had them?

Since March of '06. Just shy of 40k miles so far.

2) Have you had any trouble with them leaking?
No.

Absolutely.

I'm using the kit, but I don't change my pressures a lot. I put it at 5 and leave it there. I don't care about the load, I do it to prevent bottoming on hard braking.

1) How long have you had them?

Probably 3 years.

2) Have you had any trouble with them leaking?

Actually mine have gotten a little oily but not bad.

3) Would you buy them again?

Absurdly, they work great.

Before I got the balance line I used the Progressive pump and tried to keep them equal.

I have since started running the forks with no air pressure but I think the balance line is a good thing to have. Maybe when the springs start to weaken I might run a couple of pounds of air in the forks but for now I keep them at zero.

By the way they do bottom every once in a while but I like the soft feel of the front end.:2cents::no-no-no:

I appreciate the comments, thank you.

I've toyed with the idea of making my own balancing system and possibly incorporating a built in liquid filled low pressure gauge but haven’t really put my nose to the grindstone yet. Custom Cruiser sells the basic kit for $23 which is not too bad for a quick fix... guess I’ll put it on my winter project list!
