BEER30 Posted September 28, 2007 #1 Posted September 28, 2007 Them there 1st Gen'rs are awful quiet here lately . Could it be the Dark Side taking over or retirement time on the old EGO-maniacs ? Did their "Ride-On"done rode off and left them behind ? Or could it be another embarrassing post on how they lost another vent on the side of the road ? What your excuse this time ? :rotf::stirthepot::stirthepot: BEER30

Marcarl Posted September 28, 2007 #7 Posted September 28, 2007 Hey Beer, We've got nothing to WHINE about.:rotf::rotf: -----------Just ride----------- Steve And we're not sitting around waiting for parts or repairs, or out hunting the roadsides for what was left behind on the last trip.
Guest Vermincelli Posted September 28, 2007 #8 Posted September 28, 2007 hard to type with a permanent smile from enjoying mine.
BEER30 Posted September 28, 2007 Author #9 Posted September 28, 2007 Riding mine everyday , maintainence free ! And haven't had to add any oil either . No whining here , never , even if it did chirp . Enjoying the wind , HD's to my back and looking Purdy too ! Just checking on ya .:cool10:
Dano Posted September 28, 2007 #11 Posted September 28, 2007 We got them all fixed !! Yep, thanks to GeorgeS, Squeeze and all the other fine minds out there, we're out riding and enjoying instead of sittin' here typing! Dan :cool10::dancefool:
Dano Posted September 28, 2007 #12 Posted September 28, 2007 Whoops! I just noticed---- theres more 2nd gen repair questions on here lately than 1st gens. WHAT'S UP 2ND GENNERS? DO WE NEED TO HELP YOU NOW?????:stirthepot::whistling:
BradT Posted September 28, 2007 #13 Posted September 28, 2007 All out riding, so that they can make a list of problems (and checking it twice) for the winter overhaul season. I know of one that has to go into the living room to be worked on all winter long. Brad
dray Posted September 28, 2007 #14 Posted September 28, 2007 the only real answer i see is There are less of them to wright about :stirthepot:
CrazyHorse Posted September 28, 2007 #15 Posted September 28, 2007 Or complaining about Yamaha service... We dont even bother they're over 10 yrs old they wont let us drive them on the lot. Us hardcore 1st Geners gave up on Yamaha when they started making Harleys instead of our Goldwings. :rotf:
wild hair 39 Posted September 28, 2007 #16 Posted September 28, 2007 first gen, need oil & tires, also, but then the rest is all smiles :cool10:we are trying to make sure that the sec gens, have sumething to shoot for, remember we have been on the road a lot longer than you new commers[sec gen],now off for another ride
Paul Posted September 28, 2007 #17 Posted September 28, 2007 I think because we are all out enjoying the end of summer by riding, instead of walking through a parking lot full of HD ripoffs trying to figure out which one is yours:stirthepot: Paul
dynodon Posted September 28, 2007 #18 Posted September 28, 2007 Out riding and planning rides. Going on a two day to Galena IL this weekend! Whine, we dont' need no stinkin' whine, all of it is right here....in my 1st Gen!
WilCruise Posted September 28, 2007 #19 Posted September 28, 2007 Ummm... I need to drop off my 2nd gen to have the rear suspension fixed before the warranty runs out. I'll be riding the 1st gen which doesn't need any service. Then I'll be spending time on tweaks for both over the winter so I can have the choice to take either out when the weather breaks (or on those Indian Summer days).
Leadwolf56 Posted September 28, 2007 #20 Posted September 28, 2007 :moon::moon::moon::moon::moon::moon::moon::moon: We're quiet because we're out riding. We don't "whine" like the 2nd genners. My bike is nice and quiet and smooth riding and we ride the hell out of it!!!!! :stirthepot::stirthepot::stirthepot:
Yammer Dan Posted September 28, 2007 #21 Posted September 28, 2007 91 hrs at work last week and 79 this week. Ain't had time to entertain you. Gotta get mine fixed, it did break. But will get it done. Might even be looking for another.
