Them there 1st Gen'rs are awful quiet here lately . Could it be the Dark Side taking over or retirement time on the old EGO-maniacs ? Did their "Ride-On"done rode off and left them behind ? Or could it be another embarrassing post on how they lost another vent on the side of the road ?

Riding mine everyday , maintainence free !

And haven't had to add any oil either .

No whining here , never , even if it did chirp . Enjoying the wind , HD's to my back and looking Purdy too !

All out riding, so that they can make a list of problems (and checking it twice) for the winter overhaul season.

 

I know of one that has to go into the living room to be worked on all winter long.

Or complaining about Yamaha service... We dont even bother they're over 10 yrs old they wont let us drive them on the lot. Us hardcore 1st Geners gave up on Yamaha when they started making Harleys instead of our Goldwings. :rotf:

first gen,need oil & tires,also,but then the rest is all smiles :cool10:we are trying to make sure that the sec gens,have sumething to shoot for,remember we have been on the road a lot longer than you new commers[sec gen],now off for another ride

Out riding and planning rides. Going on a two day to Galena IL this weekend!

 

Whine, we dont' need no stinkin' whine, all of it is right here....in my 1st Gen!

Ummm... I need to drop off my 2nd gen to have the rear suspension fixed before the warranty runs out. I'll be riding the 1st gen which doesn't need any service.

 

Then I'll be spending time on tweaks for both over the winter so I can have the choice to take either out when the weather breaks (or on those Indian Summer days).

We're quiet because we're out riding. We don't "whine" like the 2nd genners. My bike is nice and quiet and smooth riding and we ride the hell out of it!!!!!
