Riderduke Posted October 30, 2009 #26 Posted October 30, 2009 The PGR will also be present when - "LCpl David R. Baker is to be laid to his eternal rest among his fellow HEROES on the hallowed grounds of Arlington National Cemetery (ANC) on Tuesday, 03 Nov 09" click-here If you have never experienced this at ANC you should. I haven't been to one in a while. Over the past 3 years I have been to way too many. A few years ago there was 2 or more a week. They are very emotionaly draining and also my work schedule makes it hard to attend. I am about ready to to start attending again, but I will have to pace myself.
Riderduke Posted October 30, 2009 #27 Posted October 30, 2009 Here is the link to the history of the PGR for those who are not in-the-know http://www.patriotguard.org/Home/OurHistory/tabid/145/Default.aspx
McBrush Posted October 31, 2009 #28 Posted October 31, 2009 Thankfully there was no protest today. Here's a news clip. http://blog.cleveland.com/metro/2009/10/lake_county_marine_22_who_died.html God Bless all the men and women and their families who serve this country. Past, present and future.
ddoggma Posted October 31, 2009 #30 Posted October 31, 2009 God bless that fallen soldier and the PGR. Phelps is a nut job, for sure. Where do these kinds of people come from?
tazmocycle Posted November 1, 2009 #31 Posted November 1, 2009 great to see such a turnout! and no problem from you-know-who(don't even like to put up their name, so as not to give them any knowledgement). we just had a new national cemerty open up about 4 miles from us this past memorial day and already over a 100 has been interned there. some was being held almost a year so they could be interned there. a close friend of mine that passed was layed there. thank god there are many-many more that suport these young men in their service to their country, family and friends than not. keep up the good work, don and susan.
