Skid Posted October 25, 2009 #1 Posted October 25, 2009 The weather was great today and I took the Second Gen out for a couple hours for a ride. Then I took the First Gen out for a short ride. WHAT A DIFFERENCE! It was like night and day....
mini-muffin Posted October 25, 2009 #2 Posted October 25, 2009 Well glad you had a good time. Got me all excited thought you had a new addition. Poor Leslie I know she's gotta be waiting very impatiently. Tell her hang in there. Margaret
bongobobny Posted October 25, 2009 #3 Posted October 25, 2009 Nice to have both worlds, isn't it?!!? I was just looking at my 1st gen and dreaming...

BoomerCPO Posted October 25, 2009 #5 Posted October 25, 2009 The weather was great today and I took the Second Gen out for a couple hours for a ride. Then I took the First Gen out for a short ride. WHAT A DIFFERENCE! It was like night and day.... Had a great riding day here as well. Temps 62F....clear skies. Rode with a big group of 30+ Riders. We hit the road at 10AM.....I got home at 6PM just as the sun was calling it a day. No problem riding the 2nd Gen all day long with that Butler Seat Mod..... Boomer........who did not have to bother the Maytag Repairman.
Monty Posted October 25, 2009 #6 Posted October 25, 2009 Now, if you woulda started out on the first gen, then you woulda never broke out the 2nd gen...as you woulda been content with what you had.
hunter 1500 Posted October 26, 2009 #7 Posted October 26, 2009 Got a nice ride in today myself. Only about 100 miles but nice none the less. That was after going duck hunting and getting a couple of nice mallards. Had to shoten my ride so I could come back and stuff and roast them. MMMMMMgood.
1rooster Posted October 26, 2009 #8 Posted October 26, 2009 Now, if you woulda started out on the first gen, then you woulda never broke out the 2nd gen...as you woulda been content with what you had. When I start out on the 2nd Gen first it's a long ride then to the 1st Gen it's a short ride. When I start out on the 1st Gen first it's a short ride then to the 2nd Gen for a long ride.
wes0778 Posted October 26, 2009 #9 Posted October 26, 2009 (edited) We had a great ride to the Mississippi M&E. Not sure how many miles I rode, 'cause there were several that rode more miles just to get there and back. But I ran a whole tank (7-8 miles on reserve) plus 60 miles on the fill-up.
