Monsta Posted September 27, 2007 #1 Posted September 27, 2007 Is your speedo different? Is it KMH up top (printed) and MPH below in the LCD part? Or is it the reverse like the US model.
Dusty Posted September 27, 2007 #2 Posted September 27, 2007 Just plain KMs, no MPH. Makes it a pain travelling state side. Have to use the GPS set to MPH.
Monsta Posted September 27, 2007 Author #3 Posted September 27, 2007 Interesting. Thanks! Wonder why here in the US you have to have KMH shown...
boominup Posted September 27, 2007 #4 Posted September 27, 2007 A few years ago, the US attempted to go metric. Too much opposition and lobbying, I suppose. If we just go half-way, I guess everyone will be happy. I often work on equipment with some bolts SAE and the rest are Metric. Now my tool chest is twice as large! Brian
chabicheka Posted September 28, 2007 #5 Posted September 28, 2007 Interesting. Thanks! Wonder why here in the US you have to have KMH shown... easy......i'll splain..... you see....when yur out riding with a canadian friend, you know exactly what speed he's going at....without having to ask him..........i think.......
Sailor Posted September 29, 2007 #6 Posted September 29, 2007 My 02 Venture is metric only. I just got back from Vegas ( no, the Venture is not for sale!). where I rented two different cars during our stay (I know, should have rented a bike, but all I could find were Harleys) They were a Ford and a Suzuki. Both had MPH prominent with KPH in small figures. Visited the Grand Canyon, Brice Canyon, Zion Canyon, Monument Valley, and went river rafting on the Colorado for 15 miles. I think my favourite was the Valley of Fire. It was all spectacular.
AlbertaClipper Posted September 29, 2007 #7 Posted September 29, 2007 My 07 is metric only too. You know I think is kinda neat is of the four makes of cars in NASCAR the Toyota is the only one made in the US. But it is metric too.
Monsta Posted September 29, 2007 Author #8 Posted September 29, 2007 Is the KMH on the LED part where the "needle" is like the US model or is it printed above like a US MPH display? Anyone got a picture of the Canadian or non-US model's speedo?
BradT Posted September 30, 2007 #9 Posted September 30, 2007 Is the KMH on the LED part where the "needle" is like the US model or is it printed above like a US MPH display? Anyone got a picture of the Canadian or non-US model's speedo? No I don't my bike was immported. Spud Yours would be the first I ever saw, with Both like that. Brad
Gary N. Posted September 30, 2007 #10 Posted September 30, 2007 Is the KMH on the LED part where the "needle" is like the US model or is it printed above like a US MPH display? Anyone got a picture of the Canadian or non-US model's speedo? The KPH is printed on top just like your MPH. Where yours says 120 (if that's your hightest number?) ours say 180.
Monsta Posted October 1, 2007 Author #12 Posted October 1, 2007 Thanks! I kinda wanted to see what it looked like when it's on, too.
