Aussie Annie Posted October 24, 2009 Share #1 Posted October 24, 2009 As I now have a thumb brake on the bike I am finding that it's a bit of a stretch when holding the clutch in and "thumbing" the brake. I have always had problems with the clutch lever on any bike as the thumb has been broken and doesn't have as much flexability. Question: is there an after-market clutch lever that will come in closer to the handlebars??? Or, one that can be adjusted (like the FJR one)?? Sylvester Posted October 24, 2009 Share #2 Posted October 24, 2009 My only and best solution to your situation is to get an auto clutch. This is a centrifugal clutch basket that eliminates most of the need of the clutch lever. You can still use the clutch lever if you want but not required. I have their web site on another computer but if you google "auto clutch-motorcycle" I am sure you will find it. Not cheap but for you it would be very practical. dmoff1698 Posted October 26, 2009 Share #4 Posted October 26, 2009 What is a thumb brake? And you have one on your RSV?
Sylvester Posted October 26, 2009 Share #5 Posted October 26, 2009 Here it is Annie, www.efmautoclutch.com dmoff1698, The thumb brake relocates the rear brake controls to the left handlebar with a thumb actuated lever. Aussie Annie was in a bad wreck and has limited use of her leg/feet, but nothing keeps her down.
