Dano Posted October 23, 2009 #7 Posted October 23, 2009 Squid left me a voice mail about 1:30, they had just passed into Texas, said they had about 270 miles to go. I bet the birds are tired of the car by now!
Squidley Posted October 24, 2009 #8 Posted October 24, 2009 Yeah I know, not quite the same impact as the moon shot...but were here Ole Gunboat decided to take the day off and he ended up meeting us on US 59 about 80 miles south of Nacogdoches. Pretty funny too, Lonna and I see this 2nd gen pass us going north on 59, we chatted to eachother on the CB's about seeing it. Lo and behold Lonna looks out her window not a minute later to see none other than Don himself on his '99 He lead us down into Houston and we just got back here to the house about an hour ago from supper. Life is good, were alive and now officially...."Damn Yankees"......now the fun begins. Talk with All Y'all soon (see, I'm already getting the vernacular down)
Lone Eagle Posted October 24, 2009 #9 Posted October 24, 2009 Now, have you found the DQ yet? :rotf:. Glad you and Lonna had a safe trip.
KarlS Posted October 24, 2009 #10 Posted October 24, 2009 Good to hear you made it there safe and sound. You left just in time, rain, cold, and wind here in the unemployment state. Good Luck Tex.
Aussie Annie Posted October 24, 2009 #11 Posted October 24, 2009 Glad you both arrived safe to Don's. Enjoy your stay
