Craigq Posted October 23, 2009 #1 Posted October 23, 2009 I am new to the Venture and need some help on maintenance. Can anyone tell me if there would be a problem with putting a 1992 v-max intake manifold and carberator on my 1987 Venture?
GaryZ Posted October 23, 2009 #2 Posted October 23, 2009 I am new to the Venture and need some help on maintenance. Can anyone tell me if there would be a problem with putting a 1992 v-max intake manifold and carberator on my 1987 Venture? It should bolt right on and run. However, there is a controller of some kind that needs to be used to engage the V-Boost. Your Vmax parts would really be nice on my 1985 Venture when I get the Vmax cams installed . . . Want to sell?
elag Posted October 24, 2009 #3 Posted October 24, 2009 V-Boost system on Ebay. http://cgi.ebay.ca/V-BOOST-VBOOST-FULL-PWR-SYSTEM-VMAX-V-MAX_W0QQitemZ110446081131QQcmdZViewItemQQptZFR_JG_Moto_Pi%C3%A8ces?hash=item19b719746b
GeorgeS Posted October 24, 2009 #4 Posted October 24, 2009 I recall sombody talking about this. It works, but there is a space problem. The V-Boost assembly sits higher, ie: a Very tight fit.
Condor Posted October 24, 2009 #5 Posted October 24, 2009 DaveG a member here...and also on the Venturer board authored a great article about doing the conversion. IT's not a hash job. You aught to see the bike. It's awesome. I had the pleasure of seeing it at Ft Collins. V-BOOST
Dano Posted October 24, 2009 #6 Posted October 24, 2009 The vboost system adds about an inch to the overall heigth of the system. You would need to cut about an inch out of the airbox to get it to fit. I have just the runners that I'm contemplating putting on the 84 with a manual control. Hers a couple of bench pics......
