Hulk Posted October 19, 2009 #1 Posted October 19, 2009 A friend of mine that also did the "Ride Like a Pro" DVD home edition course, sent this to me! Ahhhhh, maybe on a Vespa I could keep up! http://www.snotr.com/video/3068
BigBoyinMS Posted October 19, 2009 #2 Posted October 19, 2009 I'm not sure I could walk that course without knocking some over.
bendtdj Posted October 19, 2009 #3 Posted October 19, 2009 Holy handeling Batman! That is amazing. I don't think i would walk that course without knocking over at least one cone. Dave
Sling Posted October 19, 2009 #4 Posted October 19, 2009 I bow to that officer! Double the size of the course and I might be able to do it .
loehring Posted October 20, 2009 #7 Posted October 20, 2009 Very impressive. That was a BMW. There are a number of motor cops riding sport/tour bikes now. I guess they need to be able to keep pace with the sportier cars that are out there.
Little Bob Posted October 20, 2009 #8 Posted October 20, 2009 That was awesome! Wish I could do half that good.
yamadawg Posted October 20, 2009 #9 Posted October 20, 2009 :bowdown::bowdown:Incredible!:bowdown::bowdown::bowdown:
CrazyHorse Posted October 20, 2009 #10 Posted October 20, 2009 Harleys have more limited lean angle then the beamers. Beamers lighter and more manuverable.
midnite Posted October 20, 2009 #11 Posted October 20, 2009 wow, incredible, awesome, and somehow these words don't seem to adequately describe what he just did. I'm jealous!!!!!!!!!:bowdown:
wes0778 Posted October 20, 2009 #12 Posted October 20, 2009 During a yearly motorcycle show here in Jackson, MS there is an LEO motorcycle competition. Watching them do this same kinda stuff on their "daily drivers" is incredible! Most of them still ride Harleys.

I guess they need to be able to keep pace with the sportier cars that are out there. A lot of cops are riding the FJR1300's as well as the K1200's These bikes are at least 4X faster than any harley and handle like a dream for that kind of stuff. The biggest reason for the change is not the speed and handling. It's that the police department can get 2-3 of them for the price of one harley. They are saving money and getting a major performance boost.

The cost of maintenance for these type bikes is much lower too. Boomer.....who's never seen a English MO on a Harley.
Cerviperus Posted October 20, 2009 #15 Posted October 20, 2009 BMW R1200RT - same thing I ride only in the authority model. Most of the California motorcycle competitions I've seen videos of are on those bikes. Although, I've also seen several on Harley's. It's all what you get comfortable riding on.
